"It was two years before we were adopted by Anne and Louis Russell. We still live with them now, and Anne is a nurse and Louis is a cop. Jo and I love them very much. I guess I just miss my parents because they were the ones who partially raised us, and even though we had a sucky life they were still loving and protective as parents should be."
Now I have to do it.
"Now it's time I tell you all what I'm really here for. It's December, 17 2016 it's, uh 2:09 pm and a 15 year old girl by the name of Ella Diana Russell is confessing to killing a man named George Santo."
The name is even painful to speak. I think it rubbed my throat raw because the next sentence comes out in a low growl.
"If you don't remember who that is that's the man my dad stole the watch from. It's also the man who gave the order to kill my father. It was long and painful; for him not me, and he's dead. He is currently in a shallow grave behind his house.
"I have all of the proof in this bag."
Terrence's face is white as I grab the bag from behind my chair.
"I used this hammer to smash his face in, but first I sprayed him with pepper spray and cut off his ring finger with this knife."
Terrence turns a faint shade of green, and I feel my own stomach churning so I stop going into detail and instruct him to get me arrested.
"Terrence call 911 and tell them you have a killer in your house."
He begins working in slow motion and I stare into the camera lens trying not to give away the fact that I'm not the killer.
I could never do what Joanne did; let alone find the man, but then again I couldn't let my 13 year old sister rot in prison.
I wish she hadn't done this, and I wish I would have killed myself a long time ago, but right at this very moment I wish nothing more but for the guts to tell the ugly truth.

General Fiction"Okay, Ella we're rolling." I took a deep breath, looked into the lens. I was determined to do it. I had to do it. "Okay, hi. My name is Ella Russell. I'm a 10th grader, and I'm here to tell the full truth."
