For hours Laila just laid up in the tree binding her hand and making a place for her to sleep. CRACK! The sound of branches breaking froze Laila in place from what Che was doing. Looking down bellow she saw the guy from earlier who tried rescuing her. What was his name? Oh yea Zac he was looking around. "Laila its me come out its safe" he voice was in my head again and I began to think which he must have heard me almost like telepathy it was kinda scary. Looking up Zac looked directly at me and smiled then ran up and climbed the tree to where I was. "I found you Laila are you alright? Did they hurt you in any way? If they did I swear I will make them eat their intestines." Laila could here the anger in his voice as he said that and it sent a chill down Laila's arms. "I'm fine they didn't hurt me to much I think I hurt them the most if anything kinda makes me wanna smile." Smiling Zac walked over and just as he reached me there was a loud noise of a branch breaking and then Iris appeared he was pissed Laila could see it in his eyes. "Did I not warn you Laila or does that not matter to you that I could cause you so much pain!" His voice was so forceful and threatening that Laila took a step back into Zac's hold where he put himself between Laila and Iris. "You will not touch her for if you do Iris I will kill you so go ahead try please I've been waiting for the day when I could kill you." Growling Iris glared at Zac "you really wanna die boy fine!" Launching himself off the branch he was headed straight toward Zac. "NO!" Before Laila could stop herself she screamed and threw herself in front of Zac before Iris reached them. The force of Iris hitting Laila made her gasp in pain and screamed as she fell back toward the ground. Time began to slow down as we fell toward the ground and when we hit it was like my body had shattered into little pieces. "Aaaaahhh!" Standing up Iris stood over Laila and smiled at her face of agony. "If you'd done what I said none of this would of happen my dear but you don't listen just like your mother. You're weak and always will be." As another wave of pain shot through my back I gasped and tried sitting up but as soon as Iris noticed I was sitting up he brought his foot up pushing me back down pinning me to the ground with his foot. "Nice try but I know how strong you are so you can give up my dear because if you get up I will use all I have to break you that way you can't move or run how about that my dear hmmm?" Laila could feel blood filling her throat and lungs. A cough type gurgling sound escaped her mouth when she tried to speak. "To bad I guess you are weaker then I thought well I guess I'll find someone else to use then..." His voice began to fade out and her vision started turning red. When Laila thought she was dead she felt a jolt of energy and opening her eyes Zac was sitting by her holding his bleeding hand over her. That was when the iron taste hit her and she gaged at the thought of blood being in her mouth. "I know baby it taste nasty but you must drink for if you don't you will die please drink." Grabbing his wrist she bit down and drank even though she hated the taste it burned as it went down into her stomach healing her.
