Maine was hovering over their suitcases when she heard a gentle knock on the door.

"Good morning!" Ms. Celeste greeted cheerfully as Maine opened the door. "How's Rj?"

Maine looked over her shoulder and opened the door a little bit more to reveal an unmade bed with black tufts of hair protruding from the comforter. "Still sleeping....he was knocked out as soon as we lay in bed last night."

"I know what you mean. Ninno and I were still talking about his trip with Rj when everything suddenly became quiet. He had fallen asleep while making kwento....napagod...."

"23 hours ba naman..."

"Yes.....uh, have you had breakfast?"

"Not yet. I was thinking of waking him up na nga e....but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon" Maine chuckled.

"Why don't you wake him up na and then let him follow nalang to the breakfast buffet...."

"I'll do that....see you in 15 minutes?"

"Okay, 15 minutes....oh, you might want to put on a pull over or bring a jacket....it's kinda nippy...."

"Ah ok...thanks....see you..."

"See you"

Maine closed the door again and pulled the comforter slightly to reveal Rj's angelic looking face. She gently kissed him on the cheek.

"Mahal....wake up na....Mahal" Maine said softly as she gently shook him. She did this several times as Rj only moved his head and inhaled deeply, pulling the covers over his ears again.

"Wake up na....sige na.....please" Maine pleaded.

Rj's eyelids fluttered as he slowly opened his eyes. He smiled at her. "....kitthhh muna" he said and she bent down and kissed him on the lips. Rj wrapped his arm around her neck and pulled gently so she fell on the bed, on top of him.

"I missed you...." he said as he kissed her on the temple.

"I missed you too" She said as she patted his chest. "Bangon na, Mahal....your stuff is in the bathroom na....I'm meeting Ms. Celeste and the others for breakfast....sunod ka nalang...." Maine said as she gave him a long kiss on the cheek before standing up from the bed and picking up her jacket, ready to leave the room.

"Saan tayo today?"

"I think we're visiting Tita Madre....at the same Monastery I visited when I went here the last time...."

"Ahh okay....where are my clothes?" Rj said as he got up from bed and fixed it.

"In the bathroom, on the counter....follow nalang to the buffet...."

"I love you" Rj smiled at her.

"I love you" Maine replied and stepped out of the room.

Maine joined the group at the dining hall and exchanged pleasantries with everyone. "Good morning!" she said, chipper and with a big smile on her face.

"Si Tisoy?" Mr. Tuviera asked as she bussed on the cheek.

"Kakagising lang po....pababa na rin yon..."

"Pareho lang sila ni Ninno....zombie!" Direk Mike chuckled.

"Heeeeeeeey! It's no joke to travel for 23 hours!" a very tired looking Ninno answered.

The adults in the group chuckled. The kids, Mr. and Mrs. Tuviera's 2 grandkids, Mookie and PongPong, jumped up and down wanting to play with Maine.

"Kids...later na....let Tita Maine have breakfast first..." Miss Penny, their mom, called out. The kids sat down on their chairs and resumed eating.

While Maine was at the buffet, Rj arrived and the whole exchange of pleasantries happened again. This time though, the kids wanted Rj to carry them at the same time.

"Ay sus! Ginawa nyo namang playground si Tito Rj nyo e...." Direk Mike laughed.

"Okay lang....parang work out na rin....si Maine po?" Rj was having fun lifting the kids as evidenced by their squeals. He then looked at Ms. Jenny to ask about Maine.

"Ayun o...kumukuha ng food...puntahan mo na....kain ka na...." Ms. Jenny suggested.

Rj was able to make the kids settle down once again and he approached Maine at the buffet. She noticed him.

"O, Mahal...what do you want? There are lots of different types of sausages...."

"What did you get?"

"A little of everything....let's share?"

"Okay....do you want some juice?"

"Yes please....orange?"

"Sure!"

They returned to the table and sat beside each other to share their breakfast.

"O, Rj..."

"Yes po, Mr. T...Sir....?"

"Tatay...."

"Ah opo...Tatay po...."

"Ito naman e....you're like our kids already....don't forget that...." Mrs. Tuviera spoke.

"Yes, Ma'am..." Rj replied.

"Call me Mamsie....please...."

"Ahh yes po...m....Mamsie" Maine said, blushing.

"Welcome to the family!" Ms. Celeste said beaming.

Maine and Rj just bowed their heads and smiled.

"When you're done with your breakfast, we'll be going to the monastery this morning....."

"We're visiting Tita Madre....Dad's sister...." Direk Mike said.

"Ah okay po..." Rj replied.

"Then we'll have lunch somewhere before coming back to the hotel...." Direk Mike continued.

"Ok" Maine replied.

After breakfast, the group went to the Monastery to visit the ailing nun. In the van, Direk Mike's kids wanted to sit next to Rj and Maine and they obliged, having each child sit on each of their sides while they sat beside each other.
