Christmas.
Probably the busiest time of year.
But the Turtle Brothers' lives were becoming a lot busier, too.
When they were eighteen, they managed to save New York City and the rest of the world from the alien events of Krang, the evil Samurai warrior Shredder and his henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady. After a great victory in saving the world, the chief of police, Rebecca Vincent, granted the mutants a new life or normalcy.
At first, the teenagers refused the offer, but soon, just two years after the offer, they decided to make their presence known.
Leonardo is a certified realtor, while Raphael works at a local gym in New York. Donatello discovered that he enjoyed architecture besides technology, making Michelangelo a video game designer.
The third oldest brother is in New York, as the snow fell, listening to a long lesson in the Japanese language. He repeats the words so they roll off his tongue as he makes his way to the elevator, passing by people in this convention building. He is studying the Japanese language because he is supposed to be going to Tokyo, Japan, to construct a brand new building there. He is looking forward to it.
Don makes it into the elevator and is greeted by a coworker. "Hey! There's a face I haven't seen in a long time!"
"Hey!" Donnie greeted him.
"How are you, Donnie? How was Miami?"
"Great, great! We opened the doors last Saturday. I hope you packed your snow shoes. JFK took me three hours!" He referred to the flight and weather.
"Gotcha! See you in town for a while?" His coworker asked him before the elevator doors began to close slowly.
"No, no! The next step is Tokyo." Don answered him, still thrilled about his trip.
"Ha! Seems like you're taking over the world, turtle! Merry Christmas, Don. Tell your brothers I wish them a Happy Holidays."
"Domo arigato!" Don called out, the elevator doors closing up to take him to the next floor.

Central Mexico
In the south of central Mexico, the sun shone on the brightly green trees and reflected off bodies of water. It was very quiet, and the only sounds were the birds, the livestock making a fuss, and the light chatter of locals.
A young woman with long black wavy hair and a gorgeous face floated gracefully down a calm river in an inner tube. She loved being surrounded by the nature of this place. There are no cellphones, hardly any people, and that's the way she liked it. Living old-fashioned was what she preferred.
After soaking in the sun, she paddled back to the shore of the river and pushed herself out of the tube. The lower half of her body is soaked in water, dripping down from her hips to her thighs and feet. While she was getting out of the tube, she heard two young little boys hiding in the bushes, snickering loudly. The woman chuckled lightly, turning around to see the boys across the river, standing tall with smiles on their faces. She sighed, putting her hands on her hips. "How long have you been following me?"
"Since you took my inner tube!" One of the boys said.
She laughs lightly. "I was going to return it. I hope you don't mind."
"Keep it!" The younger boy called out. "He is in love with you."
"Shut up!" The older boy slapped his brother's shoulder.
The woman couldn't help but smile at these two little boys. She has always loved children. "How can you be in love with someone you just met?"
"When I am eighteen, I will come to Las Vegas and find you." The older boy says happily.
She thought it was so silly. "When you are eighteen, I will be much older than you."
The boys exclaim in unison. "Aye!"
"Are you going to marry a policeman?" The younger one asked her.
The woman sighed with a light smile, shrugged at the children, and brushed her hair back from her face. "I wish I knew..." She replied before waving a farewell to them. The woman was beginning to make her way back to the house she stayed in.
"Bye! Merry Christmas!"

New York
The elevator doors open, and as soon as Donnie steps out, he sees a massive crowd of people he works with—men and women. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Don laughs. Am I on the right floor? Who are you people, and why don't you work for a living?" He chuckles as others laugh and greet him.
"Long time no see, Donnie!"
"Welcome back!"
The men and women called out.
"Hey!" another voice called out. It was a young man named Charlie Haskal. He could see that Donnie was walking in the opposite direction of him. They have become best friends since Donnie and his family began building their lives. "Hold up, Donnie."
"I see your divorce has you shattered..." The turtle said to him, noticing the different women Charlie surrounded himself with.
"I finally found some women who understand my pain." Charlie told him. "Listen, you don't want to go in there," He pointed to a large area of the party. "Jeff Peters just got Tokyo. He leaves in the morning. You are going to Vegas."
Donnie is dumbfounded by this news. "What! No, no! I'm supposed to get Tokyo."
"No, you don't want Tokyo." Charlie gestured for Donnie to follow him.
"I don't want Tokyo? I want Las Vegas?" The turtle ranted to his best friend, following close behind him through the partygoers. "Listen to me! Everything that is famous about Las Vegas is about leaving it! That movie, the song, and even The Mob left Las Vegas! What happened to Reynolds?"
Charlie pushed Don into a janitor's closet and shut it behind them. They needed a quiet place to continue this conversation. "Look, this'll get me fired. At 10:00 this morning I closed the deal to purchase a 50,000-square-foot space right across the street from the Royalton. So if you play your cards right, don't get distracted, you'll be coming home to the sweetest gig of your life!"
Don's eyes widen. "The Midtown Club!"
"We're finally gonna do it, my friend. And guess who is still going to be eating sushi?"
Together, they said in unison, "Jeff Peters!" They laughed, immediately embracing one another in the closet. Once they were celebrating on their own inside a janitor's closet, the door swung open and their boss stood there with a straight face.
"We have conference rooms, you know." He said to him.
The mutant and human are still, still frozen in their embrace as they stare at their boss. Donnie answered. "He just needed a hug, sir."
"It's the Holidays." Charlie pretended to weep. "They're just so hard. Excuse me." He pulled away from Donnie and walked out of the closet past their boss.
Donnie was walking out, too, but his boss stopped him. "Uh, Donnie... I'm afraid I'm gonna need you in Vegas."
The turtle turned around to face his boss. "Vegas? Did you say Vegas? Well, that's my favorite city in the world."
It was settled. Donnie was no longer going to be focusing on Tokyo, but Las Vegas. Pretty soon, he would be flying out of New York and moving to Nevada for his job.
