Movies. Don't you love them? Like books, they're a fantastic way to escape, be thrilled, moved and to laugh. I'm a fan of all different sorts of films, but one of my favourites is horror.
I don't watch them to be scared, as they generally don't scare me, but I like to be thrilled and to be dragged to the edge of my seat by unseen hands and left on the precipice of anticipation. The psychological aspects get to me more than gore or lashings of full cream dairy blood. I like to ride the imagination rollercoaster and see what unearthly things the creators can come up with.
Coming in December, there's a new film coming. That film is Incarnate, starring Carice van Houten, Aaron Eckhart and David Mazouz.
Just with a cast with those headliners, the film has a head start. Carice van Houten flies in on her dragon from Game of Thrones. David Mazouz has his butler drive him in whilst he learns the ways of the Batman in Gotham and Aaron Eckhart drops by on Air Force one as Mr. President from the falling of Olympus, London and, soon, Angel. These alone are enough to excite me.
I first saw David Mazouz in the Kiefer Sutherland show Touch, where he played an autistic child who never spoke and had strange abilities. I enjoyed the show and thought his performance was excellent. Being a troubled child under such circumstances must have been a tough character to play. When I saw him as the young Bruce Wayne, I was instantly hooked. He plays the awkward superhero-to-be perfectly.
Aaron Eckhart has been an actor for years, appearing in a huge variety of films, such as Erin Brockovich, The Missing, The Core, Paycheck and The Wicker Man. He really came to my attention as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight which, of course, links him already with David. Since then, he's met Frankenstein and been the president twice (with a third incarnation on the way).
