Simon had flicked the piece of dust off of his uniform jumper and continued walking to the school hall. his brain was scattered because of the 'martin' test. The final test of secondary school, the one that determines your future.

"Simon!" a voice blasts. He turns around seeing Harry, dressed entirely in the plain uniform running over to the tall blonde. Simon hums, continuing to walk as Harry finally catches up, huffing at the speed he decided to sprint.

"Are you excited?" Harry bursts, still having much energy surging around his body. Simon shrugged and Harry frowned at the blunt response. They continue to walk in silence, and split up as Harry was younger than Simon by a few years, making his room down the school hall.

Simon continued to the library his damp school had. The library was small and quiet but Simon loved the thought of it. He headed to the bookshelves, picking up at stuffy, dusty book from the bottom. He wiped it off slowly, opening it up to see the contents. It seemed to have many words that he couldn't understand. Simon scoffs at the unreadable book, slamming it back into the bottom of the shelf.

Simon picks up his bag, looking at his black, scratched watch noticing he was going to be late if he doesn't hurry. He rushes down to his room, bumping into a few bodies before bursting through the door and sitting down quietly at his table. He had sat at the very end of the long table, therefore didn't talk much to the people near him. He took out the bulky textbook given to him.

The seat next to was quickly occupied by another boy. He was slightly shorter than Simon, but not by a lot. He had dark brunette hair and emerald eyes, that looked slightly darker. Simon had never seen him here. Maybe he was in the wrong class? He stayed quiet, still quietly reading the contents in the textbook in front of him.

But Simon was still confused, who was the boy sitting next to him? And why had he never been here before? His thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone clear their voice, and turned to see it was 'him'.

"Excuse me, is this the right class?" The brunette asked. Simon nodded unknowingly of which class he was talking about. He smiled solemnly, then continued towards his textbook. But out of the corner of his eye he noticed the other boy just staring at him intently.

"What's your name?" the brunette questioned. Simon look at him once more, licking his lips before pursuing the question.

"Simon." He said plainly. He didn't really want to tell him his name, but felt as he would persist.

"I'm Josh." Simon didn't really care, as he knew he would probably never talk to him again. He just nodded, finally ending the conversation with them completely.

The clock ticked, as Simon finished the test, anxiety built up in his body and he walked out of the boring room. He walked out of the school hall, as he no longer had to stay for the rest of the day. He hadn't gotten a book from the school hall library, disappointed at the one he saw earlier. He rushed home, to see, maybe he had a few lying around he could read again.

Josh had picked up his bag, walking home after the long test he was given. He had never attended actual school, being homeschooled by paid teacher was what he was used to. Josh never liked being the mayor's son, he'd always wanted to do the normal things, not the perks he had been given since he was young. Though this one time, he had to go to a school to do the 'martin' test, as his own teacher couldn't do so at his home.

Josh thought school was fun and energetic. Though when he got there he saw nothing but gloomy faces dragging through the hallways and boring old rooms, with a few table surrounding it. No wonder his parents never let him come, it was worn down and depressing there.
