Annabelle's POV:
Alec Hail. The guy all the girls fawned about because he was so hot, but he never gave them the time of the day. The one that got away with everything, only because he was rich and had a bad history with people getting in his way. The mysterious boy who sat in the back of all the classes, always wearing a black hoodie. The guy who never took people up on their let's-hang-out offers, always hanging out with just like one other guy. The one that thought he was too good for school... Literally, he was too good.
He was too smart. Too beautiful. Too... Ugh, too everything!
So what was he doing here? Sleeping, with his head rested ,on her right arm, on a stool next to her bed? And why was he holding her hand?
She slowly lifted her head, scanning the room around her. It was quiet large. Ugh, no, it was huge!
And it wasn't that stereotypical "boy" room either. It was... It was more like an old study. Like the ones you'd see in movies. With never ending shelves of books and books and books...
On one end of the room, though, was an open wall. Literally. The only thing that kept the room and the outside from colliding was a thin wall of glass.
Then, tucked away in the corner, stood the bed. It was a king sized bed, with the softest duvet! On one side was a wall, and on the other, a small table.
Annabelle bit her lip, how did she get here?
Why wasn't she at home... Why wasn't she dead?
Or was she dead? Alec Hail was heavenly and the room definitely belonged in Annabelle's personal paradise... So...
No, she couldn't be dead.
She sighed, maybe if Alec woke up he'd tell her what happened. Give her some answers...
But what would she do in the meantime?
She could read, but what if Alec got mad at her for touching his stuff?
No, that's ridiculous, she thought. He won't get mad if was bored.
She gently slid her arm from beneath his head and climbed out of the bed, careful not to rustle the duvet too much, so he won't wake. But as soon as she tried taking a step away from the bed, something tugged at her left arm and a series of squeaky wheels followed.
Annabelle froze. What was that?
She turned around and saw one of those hospital stands. Attached to it was a sack of blood. Attached to the blood was a pipe. And attached to the pipe was her arm...
An IV. Alec got her on a drip.

Why, if it isn't my lil' readers... Here to kill me for not updating for six days I see.
Well, in that case, I'm here to beg for forgiveness. You see, I... I...
I got nothing.
No excuses, lies, stuff... Etc.
I was simply just too busy with reading other books to update. And when I got chance to update, my head was void of any good ideas.
Frankly, I don't even think this chapter was good.
So please help me out!
Vote, so I feel the need to update!
Comment, so I can get inspired!
Follow, so I can... Love you more?
He he... So yah... How was your week?
Oh and exams are up, so I HAVE to study. Like seriously. I've been slacking off lately and I need to bring back my nerdy self.
But I'll do my best to update on Saturday. If not, expect it sometime around Monday... Eh, I don't know.
I'm rooting for Saturday, though, so...
Love you guys! Wish me luck with exams! And I wish you luck with whatever you have to do!
(And sorry it's so short!)
Toodles! 😘😉
