"Dogs have butt cheeks!" I shouted as I had the sudden urge to make myself noticed. Did I care what people thought of me? Or was I just in one of those moods today? The type of mood where everything I dreaded about high school and the way everyone perceived us, students, as criminals waiting to mature enough actually to cause some trouble, actually mattered. Typical! As I sat in class, I began to think of everything I've ever thought, all at once. Do I care? Honestly, I think I am starting to, and it is horrible. What, in the universe, is wrong with me today?

"Wow, she talks!" I heard some jackass say, interrupting my thoughts. All I could do was roll my eyes.

"Shut the hell up, Jon!" shouted the girl sitting in front of me; I believe her name was Jenna.

Then she turned to me, "Don't mind him he has more muscles than brains. I do believe this is the first time we have talked. My name is Jenna if you don't know already." I just stared at her, not knowing what to do or say. But luckily it seemed I didn't have to say anything at all, she just continued to talk. What a relief.

It has been two months since I moved here to this small, mountain town, and, well due to my nature, I am not very social. See, unlike most people I have a huge secret that has made my life a living hell. I'm not able to control my emotions, especially my anger because I have another side, a more animalistic side. Yes, it is true; I am in fact a werewolf. There it is, my big secret, I am a werewolf; to be more specific, I am a werewolf without a pack, a rogue, a rarity...

"Earth to Andrea. Hello, I asked you a question." Jenna scowled, apparently not liking me zoning out on her.

"I am sorry. I got lost in my thoughts. What was your question?" I said bashfully.

"Is that your natural hair and eye color?" you could practically smell the jealousy coming off of her. I tried to hold back my laughter, this question is asked every day; and no one could believe it when I answer him or her, you may ask it is because my hair is the color of blood and my eyes royal blue.

"Yes, they are natural," I said as I finally let out my laughter.

"Wow, lucky. I wish I were related to you, so I could have awesome hair like yours. Does it run in your family?" she said as she faked a laugh. Suddenly and finally, the last school bell rang; I let out a sigh of relief. I need to go for a run and let my wolf out. She hated going a long time without being able to take over and just run. It has already been two weeks since my last run. I stood up so fast that I almost knocked over my chair. We couldn't wait to get out of here.

"Andrea, do you want to hang out with my friends and me at the mall?" Jenna called before I could make my escape.

" Hmm, I have to be somewhere right now but I would be free in about two hours or so," my wolf growl at how short her run would be, " So I could meet you guys there if you would like?"

"Sure, that is fine with me. Do you have a cell phone so you can text me when you get there?" she whipped out her phone, ready for my number.

"Sorry I don't," she frowned as I said this. But thanks to my wolf senses I could tell the difference between her scents and well everyone else, so I wouldn't need a phone to find her. But now I think I should, at least, buy one so I could be perceived as a normal teen, "I got to go. I'll see you there."

"See you later then." I heard her call as I left the classroom. I could feel my wolf getting antsier as the minutes passed. I need to shift. I quickly tossed my junk into my locker and went to my car. Here it is, the thing about werewolves, we love cars, the faster, the better. I stood by my car glancing it over and sighing. I loathed this car. Normally, I would be driving my baby, a beautiful Bugatti Veyron but it sticks out like a sore thumb in this small town, so I forced myself to downgrade to a Honda Accord, the only good thing about this car was it is midnight blue.
