~Kaoru's POV~
It was Rinny's birthday today, and I decided to cancel my plans and surprise her at her birthday party. It took me a while to find the place, and when I did I was surprised to see that it was somewhere public... I wonder how many people were going.
When I entered where the place was, one of the waiters directed me to a room, and when I opened the door, Rinny turned to me and looked shocked. "K-Kaoru...?" she stuttered. She was so adorable when she was surprised. Well, she is always adorable.
"I thought you said you weren't coming!" she softly punched me in my arm then hugged me tightly.
" Of course I would go. I canceled my plans just for you. I couldn't stand missing out on your birthday, you only have on each year." I smiled and took a seat besides her, at the table with her family. I assumed the rest were friends, or maybe distant relatives, but I remember her telling me she wasn't really close with most of her family. The only one at the table was her sister and her grandfather.
We chatted a while and danced a little, it got later and her grandfather went home early. "Hey Rinny, do you need me to walk walk you home?" I asked, people started to leave and greet her goodbye as the party ended at about 11:30.
"Sure K-Kaoru, it'd be greatly a-appreciated." she smiled, and then I got up. "I'm going to the restroom." I said, and she smiled. "I was j-just about to g-go too. Just meet m-me outside." She said, and the rest of the people were gone, and I left to the bathroom.
I walked outside, and waited for her, and saw her taking the last few gulps of her drink, and then she rushed outside, nearly tripping, but making it over in one piece. "Alright, let's g-go Kaoru." she smiled at me, and I simply nodded and walked besides her. We were pretty quiet on our walk there, but as we got closer, she started getting a bit... tipsy like.
"K-Kaoru.... tell me you love me..." she slurred, and I felt my cheeks slightly burn.
"Are you alright Rinny?" I asked her, she wrapped her left arm around my neck, while we were still walking, and threw her other hand in the air.
"Am I alright!! I've never been more alright!!" she laughed giddily.
" Rinny, you don't usually act like this... a few minutes ago you were perfectly normal... what all did you drink tonight?" I stopped walking and supported her slightly limp body.
"Water.... and some... soda... and... some... " she trailed off and looked at me, dead in my eyes. "I love you Kaoru..." she smiled, then giggled.
"I... I love you too, let's just get you home, okay?" I said, worrying something happened to her.
"My dad went to go with my sister... they went... to a hotel. Because she is leaving tomorrow... and he is going to take her to the airport..." she was slurring still, but a bit less.
"Oh, so you're going to be home alone? Would you like me to call someone or something...?"
"N-No, I want you to stay with me.... stay home... in my bed... with me." she smiled and hung on me, kissing my neck.
"Rinny you're not being yourself, come on, I'll tuck you in, ok?" I was trying not to worry, maybe she was tired... I don't know...
"Awwww ok... come on, we're here... come tuck me in." now she was pulling on my arm, as she took me right to where she slept.
