Sunshine - A sad Kagehina oneshot.

Sunshine

"Tobio! Come on!" The small red head called out, his large brown eyes peering intently at the black haired male following him up the hill. Kageyama refused to see how he did it. Hinata's endless energy was one thing, but his enthusiam over everything? He couldn't comprehend how his small lover did it, but it was one of the thousands of reasons he fell in love with the hyper active puppy he called his boyfriend. "Coming, coming!" he said a light chuckle passing his lips. As Kageyama reached the top of the hill he took in the familiar surroundings. Atop the hill was a old oak tree, it held memories only him and Hinata knew about. Skratched into the oak was a love heart with 'K.G + H.S'. A country road passed by the tree about 6 meters from it. Never in all the years he had been coming here had Kageyama seen a single car on the road. The hill was covered in lush green grass, which was littered with daisies and buttercups. There was a constant back drop of flowing water, from the river that flowed steadily near by. Kageyama wasn't usually one to notice scenary, but this place was special. He was unsure of why he found it so beautiful, maybe it was the peacfulness and tranquillity of the place, or perhaps the memories he spent with Hinata. Speaking of the boy, he had began waving his hand infront of Kageyama's face."Helloooooo?" he said. "Uh-uh- Oh sorry i just zoned out for a minute." Kageyama said, smiling down at the boy. He scanned the tiny males face. Hinata's big brown eyes stared back at him, Kageyama could swear the boy could see straight into his sole. He looked at his other features. His button nose littered with freckels and his slightly upturned lips giving him a constant happy expresion, he couldn't believe he had the pleasure of being with such a happy and angelic boy. He smiled slightly at the boy, before leaning down and locking lips with him. Hinata's eyes widened before he shut them and began kissing back. As they parted he looked into the red heads eyes. "GWAHH! K-Kageyama!" The small boy squeaked out, his face painted pink. Kageyama found it adorable after all these years how flustered Hinata still got. Hinata his his blushing face in Kageyamas chest. Kageyama smiled, he really was a pure ray of sunshine.

"HINATA!" Kageyama screamed. He saw it, he heard it, the roaring of the engine drawing nearer, the world was goin in slow motion. A movie being played out before his eyes. Hinata, frozen in fear, infront of the speeding car. Kageyama knew what he had to do. He couldn't let his sunshine die, he couldn't. Grabbing Hinata's hand he swapped places with the other. He couldn't hear anything, he couldn't see anything. He braced.

Kageyama couldn't tell if his lover was laughing or crying. He looked up, tears running down his face, he made no etempt to wipe them away. This was it, he was dying, his happy ending would never happen, he was lying, with his head in his lovers lap, on the dirty country track that no one ever went down. Not until that day. Not until some drunken idiot decide it was a good idea to speed down the track. Not unti some drunken idiot decided to end his life. He looked up. "Hinata, please, don't cry," he rasped, his voice weak and strained, "God I love you Hinata Shoyou, I love you so god damn much." HInata looked down at his lover, "I lo-love you two. Please don't leave me!" he sobbed out, choked by a hiccup half way through. "Hinata," Kageyama coughed, "look at me." Hinata looked at his lover. Kageyama coughed a few times before inhaling deeply, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away." Kageyama whispered the last words before going stil.

The tree was no longer sturdy, the grass was no longer green, the flowers no longer bloomed,  the river was no longer a steady flowing object. They could be, but Hinata would never notice. "Oh Tobio, Why did you have to be the hero?"
