I was walking through the school with my headphones in as usual. I loved music; it was my life. If i didn't have music, I don't think I'd be alive today. I usually listened to those really dark and demented songs that everyone judges off of the first few words and then they don't see the real meaning behind it. Right now I was listening to "Say" by Blackgryph0n. It wasn't as bad as I usually listen to, but it still had a lot of meaning.
I usually don't tell people that I have a mix of schizophrenia and psychosis, but lately it has been getting worse and I have to go to a mental hospital and get treatment in two days. I was kind of excited to go. I hated people and pretty much preferred being completely alone. It was the only way I could get the voices in my head to leave me alone; they couldn't torture me because I knew I was alone. Well, that is until recently.
I got about halfway to my classroom when I turned the corner. I saw the boy that caused all of this, the one who gave me psychosis and made everyone in my life leave. I hated him, and all he did was laugh every time he saw me. He was a lot worse a long time ago, but then my teacher found out.
"Hey miss prissy." he teased. I kept quiet and kept walking acting like I didn't notice. His face lost his smirk and his arm sprang in front of me without warning and caught some of my hair against the locker.
"Leave me alone Grey." I replied softly. hoping for the least bit of interaction as possible even though I knew there was no such thing.
"And why should I. Shouldn't you of all people be welcoming me back. I mean, you are the one that got me suspended. Now, I'm kicked off of the swim team and I can't even join other sports. Your the one that ruined my life, and your not even apol-----"
"You deserved to be kicked off" I said getting annoyed. He slammed me against the locker and gained the expression that you'd only think cartoons could get.
"YOU BITCH! YOU DO NOT TALK TO ME THAT WAY" He held me against the locker and started opening the locker next to where i was pinned with one hand. "You're gonna learn not to mess with me." He popped the switch and the locker opened.
"NO, DON'T. PLEASE." I tried pleading with him. I knew what he was about to do. He's done it once before.
"Maybe I won't........NAH." My eyes dilated and I lost all color as he grabbed the side of the locker. "See ya, ya cunt." He said as he slammed the locker door against my face

"The medical came rushing in after Grey reported her not having a pulse. He may seem like it, but he's not that bad of a kid. I wonder why he picks on her so much. If only he knew." a voice said.

I woke up in a black room with a window on the other side of the room. In the center of the room was a circular pedestal with a jewelry box on it. I got up and slowly walked towards it. I noticed that it had really detailed patterns on it, like leafs and gems. It was stained almost a blood red and was outlined in a shiny black metal, like a metal version of onyx. I had a ring made of onyx once, but I lost it.
I grabbed the black metal key lying next to it with almost the same amount of detail in it. I put in the key slowly and turned it. To my surprise the box didn't open; the door behind me did. I was puzzled and pulled the key out and put it in my sweat pants' pockets. I walked to the door and saw an amazing place outside, it was so big. It looked like a place I saw in my dreams once.
I walked down the hill on the pale yellow stone that made up almost the entire ground, only sought by a dark purple grass area in the middle of the large kingdom. As I walked down I noticed that it was getting a little warmer. Now that I mention it, the room was freezing cold. The place was strange; I didn't feel lost at all, like I knew every corner and every niche.
I decided to take a path that had a sign saying "home" on it. The path was curvy and went around the large kingdom. Outside of the edge of the kingdom was nothingness. It was empty and gave me an eerie feeling that i couldn't shake off. I started feeling cold as I walked along the path and the ground turned to the purplish grass. It seemed more washed out.
I came upon a house at the end of the path. It didn't like it had been there for long, more like it had just been built. It was made of a sort of plastic feeling wood, much like how many houses are. It was dark brown with accents of an even darker purple at each corner and windowsills. The roof was also purple shingles, and the house was giving off a feeling of loneliness and wanting and I couldn't help but to go in.
I turned the purple metal door knob and opened the door. There was a laundry room with a water heater with a washer and dryer to the left. It was a small room with an off-white wall color and dark brown accents much like the outside had had that led into a kitchen with green walls and the same dark brown wood accents as the laundry room. The sink and stove were of a silver chrome color. The kitchen led out to an opening with a dining room and living room connected by a silver strip. I looked up and saw a paper stuck to the wall with the army's symbol on it.
REMEMBER THIS? DO YOU? I DO? DON'T YOU WANT TO------
"NO! Leave me alone!" I fell to the ground getting a sharp sensation in the back of my head. "Why now? You shouldn't be here? You don't exist, I know you don't." The pain worsened and I felt like I couldn't stand anymore. I fell to the brown carpet I didn't notice before and grabbed my head.
ARE YOU SURE I DON'T? YOU'VE NEVER SAID THAT BEFORE? HOW CAN YOU TRUST YOURS-------
"You just don't. I'm sure of it. I'm completely alone and you can't change that. You're just a voice!" I started getting a headache and my vision started blurring a little and it felt like I couldn't see, but at the same time, I could, but I couldn't feel it.
YOU SEEM TO THINK OF ME AS A PERSON. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT. DO I ACTUALLY MATTER?
"Shut up! Leave!" I got onto my hands and knees and started crawling into a hallway on the other side of the dining room. I felt a wall and decided to turn right and fell with my hands. I found a door and crawled in. The floor was tile, and was hard against my knees. I crawled straight forward. After about three 'shifts' forward i felt a somewhat warm liquid that was definitely thinner than the water I heard when I entered.
"Don't let me die here. There must be something wrong." an unfamiliar voice whispered aloud.
