2: The Bus Bonding

2 WEEKS LATER

Jai's POV

"Okay, Class! Today we are going to a competition, my smart kids! We are actually going to a museum, so your other friends will be exploring while you guys have the competition."

The class groaned. So did I. If we were going to a museum, then I certainly wanted to go. But I wanted to explore!

"*Clears Throat* But! After the competition, we have VIP passes to go to the Astronomy AND CIA Exhibit!"

Now that's what I'm talking about! I want to go to to the CIA! I'll call mom at lunch, then we'll go at 2 PM. While Mrs. Heart, yes thats her name, went blabbing on, I asked a question.

"Mrs. Heart? Will we have like a partner?"

"Yes, Jai! Were going to assign you in partners!"

Yes! I want to go with Solar Finn, But I call her Sofin. I walk to her table, but I see she's chosen someone else. "Jane Elle! Her?! Why Her!?" I said. I did not scream, but I did not whisper. I said it.Well, I thought we could have a bit of you know, a change of scenery? Its just for today, I promise!!!" She squealed her normal Solar Squeal. "Fine! I'll just go with someone else, then." I huffed.

The bell rang, signaling lunch, and I raced to Nel's classroom.

Nel Sonic's POV

We were at the school's covered bus port, I was with Jai cause my best friend Dan Ellis chose Steve Fenton for a partner. Apparently, Her smart friend Solar chose Jane, And the other one, whom she met 3 years ago, was out sick with the flu. Was her name like Nia-Ree? Nia-Ree Allen, yeah. She had another one, cause she was only close to Solar in smart classes, They were a trio. Another one, who's family LOVED Traveling, Kara Isian, not smart, was on a trip to South Korea.

"Come on Jai! Were gonna miss the bus! For goodness sake get off your phone!" I almost shrieked into Jai's ear. 

"Ok, ok, I'm coming!" She said calmly. Geez, I don't know how she said it calmly, but she did. We hopped on the bus before it left. We sat together at the 5 seat cushioned bench at the back, and nobody sat with us. 

Jai was still reading, probably on wattpad, her fave reading site. "What are you reading Jai?" I asked. 

"Oh, this? This is a story about a girl named Jana, falling in love with her popular classmate, Milli Sone."

"Milli? Isn't that a girls name?"

"...Yeah?..."

Suddenly it clicked. Jai must be gay. Or Bi. 

"Are you part of the LGBT?" I whispered.

She sighed. "Don't tell anyone okay?"

"Im BI. I like both guys and girls." She whispered.

"Oh."

We carried on talking for half an hour, about her trying to get me to be gay, Trying to get her to show me her account, stuff like that.

Suddenly the bus met a huge hump, causing me to fall backward on the seat facing the ceiling. Jai fell on top of me, and we were almost nose to nose. She quickly got up, and said, "Sorry Nel! I did not mean to!" She whisper-screamed. A light shade of red covered both of our faces as we sat down again. Wait, why was I blushing? Maybe because the bus was warm? or because her hair felt so warm....What?!

I mean she did have nice curls, a cute button nose, a beautiful smile, Dark black American Lips that curved perfectly, her light giggle....

I mentally slapped myself.

What's going on with me!!!! Am I.... falling for her? No! that can't be! This is just infatuation! or maybe a side effect of my pain killers? But, Love can't happen because of a measly headache pill!

Wrapped in my thoughts I didn't realize that Jai had her head rested in the crook of my neck, lightly sleeping. I could feel my blush turn a shade darker. Soon I felt sleepy. I held her back with one arm and interwined my fingers with her other hand. Soon, I fell asleep...

Yay!!!!!! Story baker is back on track! Flu gone, schedule on! This does notmean Im a homophobe,  might be B******* myself, but Im still deep in the Clo***.
