Introduction
I looked over the edge of the railing, watching them falling, falling, closer and closer to the rocks and the water below. The precipice that I was standing on, where they had been only a few moments before, seemed so high from the bottom, where the waves were breaking over the lethal stones that just pierced the surface of the water.
It was strange to think that it had been such a beautiful day, the sky a bright blue and the sun shining its rays down on everything. And now a dark veil seemed to have been thrown over my vision, as I watched the couple falling to the water. I knew my life would never, in my wildest dreams, ever be the same after this day. It was ruined, and nothing I could say or do would ever change that.
