Prologue

The Raeslers should have officially been on the list of the Top 5 Richest Families on Earth, but no one except for them knew exactly how much money they had. A Raesler worked on commission basis, and sure enough, they didn't come cheap.Nope.Generation after generation, this family had practiced assassination. They were on the uppermost rungs of the Underworld, and they had been there for over a century .Their modus operandi was unknown, but the very name Raesler was enough to make crime lords start trembling. In the underworld, they were elite, and no Raesler had ever been sent to prison, or captured by practitioners of law - never. Not that people hadn't tried; they never made it back with their sanity intact, most didn't make it back at all. The Raeslers were also a very elusive family. So much so, that they were thought to be an urban legend...much like the abominable snowman.

The Raesler children started their training as soon as they learnt how to walk. They went through harsh routines which ultimately enabled them to bear pain, torture-both mental and physical, electric shocks, most drugs, and poisons among other things. Their training wasn't even always legal - the children were often subjected to mutation and genetic modification. They were also trained in the family trade of assassination. By the age of eleven, they could move as silently as falling snow, climb any wall, run much faster and for much longer than your average person and if left alone, survive in almost any biome.

Mira Raesler was aged 13, and was the youngest in the current generation of Raeslers.She was also seen by the family as their brightest spark-41 successful assassinations, and not a shred of evidence left behind. The poor victims just disappeared...
