Running through the forest is what wolves are prone to do. They run with their packs or they go rogue. It’s harder for a rogue wolf, no family to protect them. Harder to bring down prey, if they even can. Wolves are meant to be in a pack, a family, a place where they belong. A wolf in a pack is guaranteed to have a meal if the family catches prey, a warm body to sleep with in the night. Most importantly they have someone to protect them if they’re wounded or being attacked and can’t defend themselves. If a wolf has a pup and it’s a rouge, the pup might not make it, not enough food or killed because it doesn’t have enough protection. The hierarchy in a pack is the most important structure for a pup. The alpha in a pack along with the beta are meant to protect the weak, sick, and young. A pup born in a pack will be protected from harm and have a full tummy, after all, the pups in a pack are the future. This is the life of the wolf, rogue life or pack life.
