Lucy pov

I know what I am doing for Natsu, there is a dance coming up soon and I am going to take him no matter what Erza and Levy say about it. first thing first, I must get Natsu alone, that is easier said than done. I mean seeing as he is the most popular guy in school and has many guy and lady friends that I have got to get through to get to him. but it is the best thing i have got to make up for being rude and mean to Natsu, and I do like him so it kind of fits. Asking him to the dance, that is, the theme of the dance is under the stars. I hope it is going to be romantic, grrrrrr Lucy get a hold of yourself you are supposed to hate that Dragneel boy. Well yeah but if Erza and Levy never find out it should be no problem right. Yes it is a problem they told you to stay away. Well I do not care so it is no problem, and if you do not mind I am going to ask him to the dance now. I ended the conversation with my self in my head and went to find Natsu. After looking for two hours I gave up and  went home, I will just ask him when I see him tomorrow.
The next morning when I woke up to my alarm at 7:00 I was dead determined to find Natsu, even if Erza was there or not. The reason why i fet up so early in the morning is because it takes so long for my brain to wake up and i have to get ready and eat it takes so long. It is also cause I am still half asleep. I go through all of my morning routine and am out of the house by 8:20. I walk to school it is a ten minuet walk from my house, it si a short walk but can be tiering especially when it is cold, like today. When I make it to the school I saw something I did not expect, it was Natsu waiting at the gate. I wonder who he is waiting for, he should be inside it is cold out here. It is the end of summer, I had enrolled here later, after the first term had started.
"Hey Lucy how are you doing" Natsu asked me as I approached the gate. He was being nice to me when I had been so mean to him, he must have a good heart or something like that.
"I am good Natsu, how are you" I ask him. He just shrugs and that is all that he is going to say on the matter, well lets keep this conversation up just a bit longer. "Well i have something to ask you" he looks at me telling me to keep talking.
"To atone for being an ass to you the other day i would like to know of you would like to go to the dance that is coming up soon" I tell him. Natsu's face is one of surprise, I mean he knows what Erza would do to both of us if she found out about this.
"You know as well as I do what Erza will so to the both of us if she found out about this, I mean you asking me out to the dace that is coming up" Natsu said.
"Well if you do not want to go that is fine, but I was just saying that I was being an ass and i wanted to make up for it"I was just a bit irritated that Natsu was being so unreasonable just because of Erza and Levy. Fine I will not take him to the dance."Just forget that I asked you to go and I am just going to say sorry if I had not already."

Natsu's Pov
Oh my god, Luce just asked me to the dance and I rejected her. I am such an IDIOT, Luce was just trying to be nice, and I gave her that excuse that Levy and Erza would not like it if I was to go with her to the dance. I mean they will be mad about it but they would get over it soon right. Not they would hate me for the rest of my life. Well I am never going to be able to live with myself. As it got closer to the bell to ring Gray,Gajeel and Jellal showed up. Gray was the first of the three of them to shoe up and he had Juvia at his side, it is normal to see her by his side even though he does not like it. Then it was Gajeel looking for Levy, not finding her he stopped looking for her and sat down by Juvia. Juvia was next to Gray who was by me. We were bickering when Jellal showed up with Erza in lead.
"The bell is going to ring soon so we should be going to class" Erza said as she had walked by on her way into the grand school.
"Yeah" everyone said in union.

Erza pov

I just want Lucy to leave this school with her heart in tack and that is why I do not want her hanging with Natsu. HE may break her heart and she will be sad. We have all been friends for a while with the exception of Gajeel and Juvia, I know that he means good but he may break her heart anyway. I want him to be happy, Lucy may be that happiness that he needs in his life but he needs to show that he can  be serious and not play around with all of the girls at every school and dump them. Natsu looks so mad and yet sad, I wonder why, I'll have to ask him later. for now it is time to focus on school.
