Spring Break went by quickly and now everyone is back at Barden for the rest of the semester. Aubrey pulls up to the rehearsal hall and parks the car. Beca and Chloe get out followed by the blonde and Beca gives them each a quick kiss. "I'll meet you guys in a bit. I have to go try and apologize to Jesse." She said.
"We get it. Just remember to not be too late." Aubrey said.
The tiny brunette nodded and turned to walk to Jesse's dorm as the other two walked into the rehearsal hall.
When Beca finally reached the room, she knocked on the door. "Jesse, I know you're in there. I can smell popcorn." She said through the door. "Come on, Jesse. Open up." She pleaded. The door finally opened. "Hey."
"Hey." He replied.
"Look, I'm sorry that we faught. I was mad and... Aubrey makes me crazy."
"Seriously? You think I'm mad because you yelled at me?"
"No. I know..."
He cuts her off. "No you don't know. You think you do, but you don't. You push away anyone who could possibly care about you. WHY is that?"
She looks at him dejectedly. "I don't know." She replied truthfully.
"Well, you better figure it out because, I'M done with... WHATEVER this is."
"Jesse..."
Jesse shakes his head and closes the door in her face. Beca bites her lip thinking then goes to walk to her dad's place.
Once there, she knocks on the door and it opens revealing her father. Dr. Mitchell lets her in and leads her to the kitchen where he starts to make some tea and Beca sits on a stool at the kitchen island. "You're gonna be a little bit more surprised than me, but... I REALLY liked those girls." She started.
"And, uh... you thought quitting was the answer?" He asked not knowing the truth of everything.
"SERIOUSLY? You can say that to me?!?" She asked incredulously.
"Oh come on, Bec." Dr. Mitchell started. "Look, your mom and I, we didn't work out. I tried to make things good between us, but you just... you shut me out."
"Yeah, well... I shut EVERYBODY out. Don't take it personally. It's just easier." She said looking anywhere, but at him.
"It's also very lonely."
Beca shook her head half laughing at herself in disbelief. She then looks at him. "What do I do?"
"Well, that's up to you." He replied.
The brunette thinks for a minute than looks at him again. "I haven't been completely honest with you. Since the day you made me that deal, I've been dating someone."
"Who?"
"Well, first off, I know you're mad that I'm gay. But I want you in my life again and this is the only way it can happen. But you have to deal with the fact that I AM gay and you have to support me no matter my decisions from here on out."
Dr. Mitchell sighed, but nodded. "Fine. Agreed. Now, who are you dating?"
"Well, it's two people actually. But it's not like what you think. Chloe and Aubrey have been together since high school, but they both knew for a while that they were missing one other person in their life. It turns out, it was me. They both love me as much as they love each other and I love the both of them just the same." She explained.
"Well, this is certainly unusual."
"It is. But they're the ones. And I'm THEIR other one. I was hoping to propose soon. I want to buy the rings over the summer, but I'm not planning to actually propose until Christmas."
Adam Mitchell let out a long breath. "Ok. If this is what you really want, then I will help you."
Beca couldn't help it. She smiled widely and got up to give him a hug. She pulled away after a minute and looked at him. "Thank you."
Adam nodded and Beca left to go back to the rehearsal hall.
Fifteen minutes later, Beca walked into the rehearsal hall to see The Bellas doing vocal warm-ups. Everyone stopped when they heard the door open and Aubrey came over to give her a hug. "What took you so long, Babe?"
"Well, when I tried to apologize to Jesse, he closed the door in my face. After that, I decided to drop by my dad's and try to talk to him. I got him to deal with the fact that I'm gay and then I told him the truth about us and Chloe. He's ok now. I told him the truth about how I wanted him back in life and that it was only gonna work if he dealt with what I said previously and that he had to support me in my decisions from here on out. He finally agreed and now I'm here." The Dj explained.
Aubrey smiled. "I'm sorry about Jesse. But at least you're dad and you are ok now."
"Yeah. And about Jesse, I have an idea. I figured out a set-list for The Finals and in the middle, I'm gonna somewhat serenade him as an apology. The song I wanna use is one of his favorites and it's from The Breakfast Club. His all time favorite soundtrack-ted movie. He won't be able to resist forgiving me."
"Aca-awesome. So, want to teach us how to remix?"
"Yes. But I think it's better we do it at the pool where we had the riff-off."
"Sounds good. Ladies, you heard her. To the pool!" Aubrey announced.
Everyone followed the tiny brunette to the pool.
As they walk back to the rehearsal hall, Beca tells them the set-list she came up with.
