Jade tugged on the arm of her mother, "Mama, you wouldn't die, will you?" Her lips were twisted into a frown, and she played with the lace of her dress.

She was obviously out of place with a child-like innocence radiating from her; this was the mental Ward of the St. Mungos Hospital, only psychos were allowed in Ward.

Luna Lovegood smiled lovingly at her daughter, "Jade, I cannot be sure of what will happen. But no matter what, mama will still be in your heart forever, okay?"

Jade nodded, but in her heart she felt a strong surge of hate for the Ministry of Magic. After all, they were the ones that got her mother into this, which could potentially kill her mother .

They passed down a ruling- all mental patients from St. Mungos were to be sent for experimenting for new spells, which was a relief for everyone except the patients, of course.

It was so stupid, acting as if they were lab rats and had to suffer just so other people, and the Ministry of Magic could benefit from it, Jade thought to herself.

She allowed the nurse to hurry forward, and she shot a sorry look at Jade before telling her that it was time.

Sorry sweetheart, but your time is up. She has to go now.

That was the first time Jade cried. The last time she cried was when she received the bad news...

Your mother is dead. You will be going to stay with your muggle aunt. We are sorry for your loss...

And that was the last time she cried.

Scorpius couldn't bear to see the look on his father's face when the news came out... Astoria was dead, and she would never, ever come back.

He knew his father was taking it the worst, but it was Scorpius himself who was the one trying his best... To get the family back together. It was as if Draco wasn't even trying at all.

The glassy eyes, lost look on his father's face... Scorpius just wanted the memory to go away, even if it was the last memory of Astoria.

The worst days was when he came back home, drunk and yelling about how Scorpius was a burden and Scorpius picking up the broken pieces of glass from the wine bottles that was being thrown at him.

He had cried and picked them up, one by one, the glass shards piercing his hands and leaving red stains. But the pain was nothing compared to Astoria's death.

He promised himself that would be the last time he cried. And so it was.

A/n:

Um, ahem, *coughs*, so this is the rewritten prologue ^^

This was a peek into their past, before I begin the actual story, if you have not figured it out yet :)

I'm terrible at writing A/ns so I should just... Go and catch a train at platform 9 and 3/4s now... Um, byes.

Oh, and I hope you enjoyed it!
