Mom was busy searching shawn a welcome gift while i changed myself into light wash shorts and white shirt.
99.9% possibility for the girl from 2 days ago to show up. i knew for sure that it isn't his cousin or 'we're just friends' friend.
I've been silent since 2 days ago. i don't know what to say, what to do, how to react. it's like I'm giving up on life, well yes part of me does.
mom kept asking me what should she buy for shawn and i answer it all with 'that's nice' .

his house looks foreign to me now, since I haven't been here for so long.
cars are park everywhere and i can hear laughter from inside the small cozy house.
i smile at the little girl who let us in, I've never seen her.
the party hasn't started yet and shawn is nowhere to be seen. maybe he's enjoying his time with that girl or maybe you are being stupid, i thought.
i go to the corner to grab some punch, mom is talking to an old friend. is this a welcome party or a reunion?
I'm really not in the mood.
i glance at my side, the stairs. i remember we used to chase each other at this house, one time shawn stepped on the wrong stair and ended up causing two of us injured.
i sigh, feeling lonely and unwelcome here. where is he?
---
"Good Afternoon my dearest friends and family today we're here for our son's welcome party, we hope that you'll enjoy the feast and let's partyy!! " Shawn's mom said.
she's always that life of the party .
Finally i see shawn, standing beside his mom. thank god he isn't with that girl, I'd be pissed if it did happen.
shawn has grown taller and his old hair is replaced with a short cut quiff, honestly it suits him.
he glance at me but quickly look away as if he regret me being here.
standing uncomfortably, I watch as the crowd cheers. what did I do wrong? I thought.
