Six months later
Colleen's POV
My alarm went off at 6:30 AM. I yawned as I turned it off and got out of bed. I went downstairs and began making Aaron's breakfast. He forces me to make him a full English breakfast every day now, meaning that I have to get up way before the sun comes up. A lot has changed in these last six months.

By the time I had finished making his breakfast it was about seven. Now I had to wake Aaron up. I went upstairs and opened the door to our bedroom. I walked over to the bed.
"Wake up, honey." I said. He groaned.
"Aaron." I sang in an attempt to wake him.

Once he was awake, we went downstairs. He began to eat his breakfast as I poured my cereal into a bowl.
"My bacon isn't crispy enough." he said. Oh no.
"It isn't?"
"No. And I only got 29 baked beans. You usually give me 30."
"I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean to-"

I never got to finish my sentence, as he stood up and grabbed my wrist.
"YOU'RE SORRY, ARE YOU!?! YOU DIDN'T MEAN TO, DID YOU!?!" he yelled at me. I shook my head.
"SO YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO CHECK THE BACON!?! YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO COUNT THE BEANS!?!"
"WHO COUNTS THEIR BEANS!?!" I yelled back at him. He slapped me hard in the face. I felt tears forming in my eyes.
"I'm leaving. You'd better make my dinner absolutely perfect tonight, you hear me!?!" Aaron muttered threateningly. I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat as he slammed the door in my face. I sat on the floor, leaning against the wall with my hands on my face. Why is he like this?

I spent most of the day cleaning the house. If Aaron ever finds a spot of dirt or dust in the house, he gets really angry at me. Once, I forgot to dust the top of the doors and he hit me with his belt. That wasn't the first time he'd done that. Or the last...

Today was Tuesday. I hadn't even filmed a Colleen's Corner yet. I quickly filmed one and then I had to put Aaron's pizza in the oven. Soon he was home again and the ten hours of bliss without him were over. We sat in silence eating our dinner.
"How's your pizza?" I asked timidly.
"Okay. Could have done with another ten seconds or so, but not bad."
Thank God. I thought.

After dinner, Aaron was inspecting the house, looking for a piece of dust or dirt so that he could hit me. It took a while, but he found a small piece of dust behind the TV and took off his belt. He hit me in the face with it, sending me to the floor, screaming in pain.

That night, I waited until Aaron was asleep. I got out of bed and went downstairs. I laid on the sofa and cried myself to sleep. I can't deal with Aaron any more.
