"So,do you think this is appropriate for the occasion?"Aveyla asked, practically gushing over her dress to the point where Lilly's opinion wouldn't even matter.Lilly bit her lip as she gawked at the price tag."Sure,if $50 is."She responded, astonished on how expensive the shops Aveyla went to were.Of course, what little income her mom and sister made,Lilly would have to save up for months, and then probably only have enough for a bracelet!Besides, there were plenty of ways to spend valuable money other than superlatively magnificent apparels.Lilly ran her fingers down the silky smooth fabric and rare jewels imbedded in it,feeling the urge to take it as a pillow and fall asleep right in the middle of the store."It's so soft!"She whisper shouted to Aveyla, wondering if everything she owned was the same quality.Aveyla giggled and patted her head as a worker approached them."She's new here."She xplained to him,as if Lilly were some sea slug coming to a sea weed festival. The man took one look at her slightly too short, dull sea weed strapped dress and nodded, giving it a repulsive glare.Lilly rage fully mocked his rude approach with a scowl of her own behind his back."Rude!"She she finished, rolling her eyes and setting them back on Aveyla. She just shrugged her shoulders and gave her best What-can-you-do look."You will quickly find the lack of decency people tend to posess in designer shops."Aveyla added, running her hands through her soft, ombré hair.Lilly And Aveyla were definitely two night and day different girls.Aveyla enjoyed luxury and gorgeous designer essentials.Where Lilly was content with cheap and plainly old clothing that fit into her families budget comfortably.Aveyla set down her flowing red hair that turned the guys staring in her direction. But she didn't seem to notice nor glance a pinge of attention to them.Instead her expression formed in concentration while staring down at Lilly's tail.It was an ordinary mixture of violet, aqua, and raspberry red,a pretty, but not exquisit color."Lilly, your tails as charming as a dolphins, but some shoes would really complement your feet!"She suggested gesturing her hands towards the magnificent flats lining the shelf.Lilly sighed and waved them
away with an eye roll."As tempting as that is,I didn't bring $30 with me."She laughed, flicking her tail to indicate that she was perfectly content with no shoes, but secretly was longing to sink her feet into them.Aveyla fingered the tag placed beside a pair of elegantly designed deep blue flats trimmed with pure gems."$28.00."She protested, not quite ready to give up her argument.Lilly was in no means shocked by this.Aveyla had always been one to urge her point until you let yours down, but she had never seemed to accept what Lilly could and couldn't do.She COULD go down to the main arena and sing in a ear splitting voice with her until the whole crowd went away and laugh about it later. She could go modeling outfits that she could never afford at the boutiques and have Kiah be their opinion. But she could not go dilly dallying with money like she had a infinite garden of it in her backyard.Unfortunately, that was the grounds Aveyls was raised by,and that was grounds she preferred. So to stand her boundaries, she swiped the shoes from Aveyla's hands and placed them back on the gold structured shelf.Aveyla sighed in disappointment and wondered to the front doors, snapping her fingers she spoke."Open."She commanded them, watching the doors obey her ever word like soldiers for their duty."Your not buying the dress?"Lilly asked, creeping up to her like a shy catfish to a shark. She hadn't meant to trigger her nerves, but she needed to understand that Lilly couldn't bathe in the kind of luxury she swam in all the time! But by the stern irritation in her eyes, she knew her verbal communication wouldn't mend a cut, neither would those shoes. So Aveyla just shrugged off Lilly's questioning and in a brief motion of her fingers the door was shut.Yep,Lilly had done it.Whatever it took to have that girl command a door to open and not even invite you through it,it obviously wasn't a hard task to complete. But it was certainly difficult to undo. And that wasn't a task she was looking forward to.
