"Your not written down, therefor I can't let you in. Are you sure you received a letter?"
"Yes, yes I'm sure! It's back in my hotel room. Do you need to see it as proof?" I said with my fingers crossed hoping I wouldn't have to go back and turn up late on my first day. Great impression Kasi...
"Yes. You will have to bring it and the manager will speak to you."

Great! I turned away and ran out the door, along the busy New York streets and down the side streets all the way to my hotel.
Rummaging through all my belongings, I search for the stupid piece of paper with small black writing. Finally. I find it. Hiding behind the coffee maker? I grab it and stuff it in my handbag and run back along the streets. As I stand in front of the doors I realise that I'm not supposed to be here... I'm supposed to be on the other side of NY. Right now!!!! Now I really really want to curl up in a ball and cry. I walk slowly back to my hotel and throw down my bag and coat. That's my chances of becoming a writer down the drain! I grab a cup of coffee and lie in bed watching Netflix.
