Sometimes, life has a funny way of fucking things up.

You run out of gas on an empty highway in the middle of nowhere, or maybe you spill coffee on your new Prada shoes, or perhaps you end up taking too much of the wrong medicine.

Sometimes, people have a way of walking into your world and turning it upside down.

They make promises that you know they'll never keep, or they don't give you correct change at the filling station.

And then sometimes, people stumble into your life at particularly the worst possible moment and give you everything they have just so that they can turn around and take it all away.

He's haunted my thoughts and dreams since our sophomore year of high-school, seven years ago when this whole mess started.

I've tried to erase it all from my mind but I'll never forget the way his hands fit around my hips the night I let him steal my innocence from me. I can remember the taste of my lipstick mixing with the subtle hint of spearmint gum as we made out in my mom's basement, his fingers slipping underneath my shirt and touching me in ways I'd never experienced. 

He was warm and he made me feel alive for the first time in my life, my nails digging deep into his skin as he fucked me on the couch and I can still hear him saying he loved me. He gave me everything I'd dreamed of for nearly three hours, he'd even kissed me before I fell asleep.

And then he left.

He gathered his clothes and left me there.

His name is Liam Payne and he's the reason I don't sleep at night.
