The Secret of the Four

Birchwood

Last night I saw Cederstar  get up and jump down to Bluetail. I was way to tired to get out so I looked outside and saw Bluetail creating ice with the touch of her paw! "Oh no..not again..please not again!" I whispered to myself freaking out more then I ever have in any encounter, any fight that I ever have been in. I jumped down and ran into the forest.
     I ran and ran and only stopped to get small drinks of water. I ran until I saw some wolfs almost running the opposite direction when I heard a familiar voice. I looked at one of the wolfs. "No, no, no. No that..that wolf just reminds me of one of the dogs. Yeah! That's all!" I continued running all the way until I reached it. The ledge. Getting close to it made me want to vomit, but I had to get close to it. Once I got to the edge, I howled. A howl no cat or dog except for me and a certain pitbull could make. I waited and waited. For an hour I waited until she came. "Jesse!" I cried with tears of happiness and fear in my eyes. Jesse was my childhood..I don't know what I would call her! Not a sister, we were more then that. Sort of like a friend..in a way. Just..a lot closer. "B! How are you holding up girl! Those battle scars treating you well? Ooh! And some new ones too!" I ran up to her immediately getting a face full of licks.
     "I'm good..or..I-I was fine until.." "B, what's going on?" She said looking very nervous. I quickly explained what I saw in much detail. Both she and I thought we new why the ice appeared. "I..you don't think it was Axel..do you?" Axel was a wolf. He used to be close to the pack of dogs I was with. I even played with him a couple times. One day he revealed that he had ice powers and everybody thought it was cool, until he got angry. Every time he got mad he lashed out it dangerous ways. One day, he struck one of the pups. He didn't make it. Axel was banished from the pack. He swore that he would kill all of the pack, and if he died, he would possess a pack member or a friend and kill them. Nobody believed him.
     "I don't know but we need to hurry just in case." I said. We ran for the mile a ran before until we got to the tree. I climbed up the tree and looked at Bluetail. I moved her to the ground with the help of Jesse. We layed her down next to the beach. "Sheesh! Her fur is always this blue?" "Yes unfortunately. It's going to be a lot more difficult with her fur color like this." The easiest way. To tell that you are possessed by Axel is blue tipped fur, but with Bluetail, shes got blue tipped fur in most places. "I guess we could see if she's got a blue tongue.." Jesse suggested.
     "Birchwood..what are you......OH MY GOSH A DOG!!"  Bluetail screamed. "Bluetail, I know this looks weird but.." she  immediately squirmed to get Cederstar. "No, no, no, no, no. This can't be happen-" I was interrupted by the glaring eyes staring through me. "Birch. Why is there a dog...a pitbull to be exact in our territory?" Cederstar asked with teeth clenched. "Well..guys, this is Jesse. She was my extremely close friend when I was in a pack of dogs." I explained. "Okay. WHY IS SHE HERE?!" Cederstar hissed. "And what the HECK were you planning to do to me? Bluetail also hissed. "WHAT IS GOING ON?!" Cederstar yelled.
     I explained what I saw and who Axel was. I also explained why Jesse was there. "Are you really that paranoid?" Cederstar said. "Better question, do you care so much about us that you would run a mile and back to save a friend from a 'ghost'?" Bluetail said rather quietly. "You could have just asked what was going on. I do have ice powers by the way." "I messed up, didn't I..?" I said frustrated. "Heck no! You were..technically a hero!" Bluetail said. "You see Jess? This is why I love these cats!" I said proudly.
     "Uhhhhh...you need to go home.." Cederstar pointed out. "I'm sorta not in a pack..or have a home.." Jesse said slowly. " STAY HERE!!" I shouted rather loudly.  "Yeah, NO. I am NOT making a new nest for a dog. WAY to much work." Bluetail said rudely. "She can sleep with me! There won't be much room, but she's warm enough to sleep next to." "But.." I started. "Plus, she could be an excuse to get away from a fight! 'Aaah! A big scary dog! Run away from the Battle!'. AND, if we can't run, she can help fight!"
    "Okay, okay, you've made your point. The dog.....Jesse, can stay." Cederstar said. Jesse and I  licked everybody without warning and ran off to the beach. "What have we done..." Bluetail said.
     The only problem was that somebody named Strikestar was watching them.
