Chapter two

“What’s going through your head dude?” Jace whispered.

“That I’m fucking psycho.” I muttered. And why was I a fucking psycho? The answer was obvious. Elandria. I had practically attacked her with my body in my kitchen. Right after she had a fight with her roommate!

“Yeah, you are.” Jace agreed.

“What?” I hadn’t expected him to agree with me, I mean the least he can do is make me feel better about myself. Isn’t that what siblings are supposed to do?

“You invited that girl to stay here! For two weeks!” Jace yelled.

“So? You’ve done that plenty of times, and at least I’m not some sick playboy fuck who only wants in her pants!”

“I didn’t mean that asshole. Today is Thanksgiving, and she probably has a family to get too, just like we do.” Jace explained.

“And? I’m pretty sure she knows how to work a car.” I mumbled.

“Yeah, I do know how to work a car. I’m headed to the apartment to change, thanks for a comfy bed.” Ella muttered as she headed towards the door.

“Wait, Ella!” I yelled as I went after her. “Are you doing anything today?”

“Uh, yeah. Actually, I have to go to my parents’ house. Usually Landon comes with, but… You know.” She mumbled.

“Well, if you want to, you know… uh… Come with me to my sisters?” I whispered. I couldn’t meet her eyes. Oh god, I’m such a pansy. I haven’t ever acted like this in front of a girl. I’ve never felt this for a girl! What did I feel? Butterflies! She made me feel butterflies! And tingles, oh god. There were tingles all over when she looked at me, fireworks when we touch. Fire in my veins at just the thought of her name, and it’s only been two weeks since I met her.

“I’ll make you a deal, okay? Come with me to my moms, and distract her from Landon’s missing presence, and I’ll tag along for your sisters.” She smiled. Smiled. Oh I’m in heaven. A smile! HER smile. Perfect white teeth glared at me, and I shuddered slightly.

“Deal. Give me twenty minutes.”

Could she get anymore beautiful? I hadn’t thought so. But, apparently, fate wanted to prove me wrong. She had slipped into a white sundress, that flirted around her thighs. Brown cowgirl boots decorated her feet, drawing your attention to her long as hell legs. For such a short little thing, she had killer legs. Her long blonde hair was in a braid, with pretty daisy’s throughout. A few stray hairs whipped around her face, drawing my attention to her violet eyes. She wore little makeup, not that she needed it at all.

“Done staring?” She whispered. I blinked before smirking.

“Maybe.” I mumbled.

“Can we go already?” Jace grumbled from the backseat.

“Sure, your highness.” Ella joked as she started her truck and began to back out of the parking lot.

“Where are we even going?”

“My parents live on the other side of town. I’m forced to visit on holidays, and a few weekends a year. Every time I go I always have Landon with me, you know, to distract them from my life.” Ella began, “But, lately Landon’s been MIA and I’ve been stuck answering two million questions. Your brother was nice enough to come along and be my distraction.”

“What’s been going on between you and Landon?” Jace asked quietly.

“You want the whole story?” She asked quietly.
