Can you hear my heart howl at the sky?

Things were still kind of hazy when I woke up. I was in a bed, which was odd since I usually found myself in a pile of rubble. I looked down and gelt the sweats that barely fit (but were better than nothing) and wondered how they got there.

The place was small but comfortable. I got out of the bed and went to the tight living room/kitchen of what now I recognized as a trailer.

There were pictured and notes everywhere. They were good pictures, beautiful wolves. Some files were lying around as well. One of them caught my attention because of the medical information in it. Looked like the patient had recovered from pneumonia.

As I looked through the file, the trailer door opened and a girl stopped half way inside, and we only stood there looking at each other. She seemed familiar, as if I've seen her in a dream once. She moved slowly, something I expected but there wasn't fear or anger in her eyes, or sadness. Which made me too relieved to notice that the look she was giving me was of absolute curiosity.
"Hello." The girl said calmly after closing the door behind her.
"Hey" I responded, still with the file on my hands. "Did I hurt...?"
"No, no, don't worry." She gave me a small smile.

'Thank God', I thought to myself. The awkward silence fell between us again.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Canada. Where did you come from?" She took a step closer.

"New York."

"That's a long way. No wonder you slept so much. You've been out for more than almost 24 hours..." she explained after I gave her a questioning look.

Okay, I've been missing for a whole day and found myself somehwere in a different country with the bonus of not having any casulties, apparently, and in the company of a not that unattractive woman. I could do worse. However...

"I should probably get going..." I said putting the file back where I found it. I tried walking past her while she processed my words. When I opened the door I didn't see any roads or street, only trees. "Hum..."

"Yeah, I'm not sure you'll get far, we're pretty far away. Lucky for you, though, every couple of weeks a chopper flies around to drop some supplies and that will probably be tomorrow. We can ask them to take you to the city." She explained. "Sorry, you'll be stuck here one more night."

"Do you have a phone I could use?"
.
.
.

" If this is not a 2 a.m. booty call I'm gonna be really disappointed." Said the voice from the other side of the line.

"Tony, it's me."

"Dr. Banner, so nice of you to call." He said sarcastically. "How's the vacation? Oh, don't worry about us, it's not like we were in the middle of stopping world domination or anything."

"Tony, listen! I'm only going to be able to get back tomorrow." I tried to explain.

"Where are you?"

"I don't know, somewhere in Canada."

"JARVIS, locate Dr. Banner for me, please... Okay, I got you. Do you want a ride?"

I turned back to the trailer and saw the sillouete of the girl through the window. My mind kept yelling at me to leave as soon as possible, before the other guy showed up again and made an even bigger mess of things. But against all my better judgement...

"Actually, I should probably lay low for a while, I'll call you tomorrow."

"Fine, your loss. It's shwarma night."

He hung up and I walked back into the place I knew I should be running away from.
