Summer Ray.
"Ma', can I go to my friend house?" I asked walking into her room.
"Go ask yo' daddy."
"Daddy!"
"Girl he in the kitchen." I skipped to the kitchen and see my daddy leaning on the deep freezer.
"I'm telling mommy." I saw my daddy eating my mother's Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream.
"Shut up." He threw it back in the freezer. "What do you want?"
"Can I go to my friend house?"
"Yeah, just don't say nothing to your mama."
"Okay."
I walked back to my room and seen I had a text message from Robert.
Bobby 😍💕 1:21 p.m. - I'm at the top of the street.
I'm coming now. - 1:22 p.m.
"Ma', I'm leaving."
"Be safe." I walked outside and to the stop sign that was closer to my house. I saw him parked and I walked to his car before someone saw me.
"Hey." I smiled getting in his car.
"Hey babe, you smell good."
"Thank you." I sat my things down and look around as he drove.
"Why are you so quiet?"
"I just don't know what to say."
"You have a lot to say when we are texting."
"That's different."
"How?"
"Because I get a chance to think about what I want to say. That's why I don't like being on the phone."
"I noticed, are you hungry?"
"Yeah."
"What do you want?"
"Miami Subs." He nodded and turned up the music. I looked at him as he drove and his face scrunched up. He glanced at me and turned down the music.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"It has to be something, you staring so hard."
"I can't look at you."
"I mean you can but don't stare. That just make the hairs on my neck stand up." He said as he pulled up to Miami Subs.
"Welcome to Miami Grill, how may I help you?" A dry voice said.
"Hold on." Robert said then looked at me. "Cajun barbecue boneless chicken platter with an extra blue cheese."
