I wasn't very old. That is when the had taken me away from her. I was less than a year old when I went to live on Mc Kay ranch a cold dark place where they don't treat us right. I don't remember my mother much but I do remember she wouldn't let me go easy. I didn't know what was going on I stuck close to her until a man I had seen before a few times pulled a rope type thing over my head ,he pulled me towards him with a rope attached to the thing on my face (witch I was not happy about). while another opened the barn gate. My mother knew the man but I could tell she did not want him take me away from her at least not yet she was mad he was doing this . She reared and bucked she hit one of the men her in the rib cage he fell yelling with pain while the other man dragged him out my mother went mad. I was scared at this point so I backed into a wall . Soon later a bunch of men ran into the barn they seen my mother and came out toward us one had a big metal device in his hands he pointed it at my mothers chest and then . BANG!, I had herd a a ear shrieking noise followed by a thump my mother was on the ground blood pouring out of her she was still and lifeless. She was dead. And I was tariffed I ran I tore through the barn . All of the men ran after me trying to catch me one grabbed the rope tied to the thing on my head I soon found out was called a halter,and took me out into this big box . The box started to move and was very hard to stand up in. It felt like forever moving in the big box until it finally came to a halt and a strange man pulled me out into a old looking barn he took the halter off witch I was happy about and put me in a stall. By this time it was dark .I was alone, I was scared. I had bearly slept that night the creaking noises of the barn and the wind howling was all I could hear. For the first bit of the night there where a few horses making commotion because I was there but most didn't seem to mind . After a bit the wind seemed to die down and I slowly went into a restless sleep.
