Mystreet

I stared at the reflection of myself in my dream. She looked different. Barely taller than me, definitely skinnier, and a lot sadder, but more experienced and wise, as well as stronger. She wore strange old looking clothes. I saw her examining me, as I did to her. We both reached our hands out to the mirror separating us. Our hands phased through and me placed our hands in each other's shoulders. Where our arms went through the rift-like-glass, it began to crack. We were both pulled through to the other side into darkness.

I awoke in a strange bed that wasn't mine. I looked around frantically, I had never seen this place before, but it felt like home, so familiar and safe, like I knew this place all my life. I heard a small creak as the door to the room opened.

"Lady Aphmau? Are you alright? You were screaming and I thought something might be wrong..." He stated. I stared at him smiling, maybe Garroth knew what was going on. But I wanted to find someone else first.

"Garroth, I'm happy to see you, this entire place is so strange... How did I even get here? Do you know where Aaron is?" I questioned him. Garroth's face went pale, he broke eye contact, looking elsewhere. It in that second I had realized something was direly wrong.

"Aphmau, are you feeling okay... Aaron... Died, three years ago..." He stated sadly. I froze. This was not my home. This was not my world. This was not my universe. This isn't even my dimension. Garroth approached me, taking my hand. "Aphmau, I know it was hard for you, but he's gone and nothing will change that, if anyone is to blame for it, it's me. If you want to talk, I'm always here for you, and you know that" he said sweetly.

"Garroth, if that even your name here... This is going to sound insane, but I am not the Aphmau you know, I'm not from here. I had a strange dream last night, and I woke up here, I don't expect you to believe me, but I wish to find my way home" I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, waiting for a harsh response or being taken away to an asylum for being insane.

"Aphmau, I understand, a similar thing happened to me last night, but I'm still here, don't worry, I'll help get you home, and get my Aphmau back." Garroth responded. I opened my eyes. His light blue eyes were gentle and trusting, reassuring me that he would do everything to help me.

"Thank you Garroth, I just hope everything is okay at home" I wrap my arms around him, right now, he was the only thing I knew I had with me. I don't know anything of this world, so for now, Garroth is all I have, even if I've never known him.
