Jack's Escape and Commandeering a Ship

Dakota's POV

I woke up with a head ache and Shadow by my side. When I sat up I remember what had happened last night. Will's going to kill me I thought as I grabbed my coat and left the governors house. As I looked at all the damage from last nights attack, I spotted Will heading towards the prison looking determined.

I followed him with Shadow on my heels and saw he went to talk to the pirate that threatened Elizabeth. "Oi Sparrow" Will said grabbing the pirates attention. "You're familiar with that ship, the Black Pearl" Will told him. So it was Barbossa who attacked us last night with his cursed pirate crew.

"I have heard of it" Sparrow replied sounding bored.

"Where does it make berth?" Will asked.

"Where does it make berth? Have you not heard the stories?" Sparrow asks him sitting up.

"I have" I said stepping out of the shadows with Shadow following.  "Captain Barbossa and his crew sail from Isle De Muerte. It is an island that cannot be found except by those who know where it is" I explained. Jack looked impressed and Will looked annoyed.

"The ships real enough so must be the port, where is it?" Will asks Sparrow.

"Why ask me and not the girl?" Sparrow asks as he was once again laying on his back.

"Because you're pirate" Will told him.

"And you want to become pirate yourself savvy" Sparrow states.

"Never" Will said as he grabbed the bar annoyed. Before sighing and said "they took Miss Swann" he told Sparrow.

"Oh so it is that you found a girl, will if you intend to rescue her. You'll be doing it alone, I see nothing in it for me" Sparrow told Will.

"We can get you out of here" I told him standing beside my brother.

"How so? The keys ran off" Sparrow told us.

"I helped build these cells, these are half pin barrel hinges" Will told him getting a bench.

"With the proper amount of leverage and strength the door will left free" I tell him.

"What's your names?" Sparrow asks looking between the two of us.

"Will Turner and this is my sister Dakota" Will introduced us.

"That would be short for William I imagine, good strong name. No doubt name of your father yes" Sparrow stated.

"Yes" I said feeling nervous as Shadow jumped onto my shoulder.

"Well then I changed my mind, you get me out of here and I swear on pain of death. I will help save your bonnie lass" Sparrow told us standing up. "Do we have an accord?" he asked sticking his hand out.

"Agreed" Will said shaking his hand before putting pressure on the bench lifting the door free.

"We must leave, someone would have heard that" I told them referring to the bang sound made when the door was set free.

"Not without my effects" Sparrow told us grabbing his things and putting them on. Now we are below a long boat walking along the sea floor to the Dauntless. We were going to pretend to steal it, when we would actually be commandeering the Interceptor. I didn't pay much attention to Will and Jack's conversation. I had sent Shadow ahead of us to the Interceptor.

We finally reached the ship and hopped aboard. "Everyone stay calm we are taking over the ship" Jack tells the navy soldiers.

"Aye, avast" Will said drawing his sword making the soldiers laugh at him.

"This ship cannot be crewed by three men, you'll never make it out of the bay" the lead soldier tells Jack who pulls out his pistol.

"Son I am Captain Jack Sparrow savvy" jack tells him. The navy crew left in a long shouting for the Interceptor to stop us.  Will went below deck and I went to the helm with Jack. I then saw the Interceptor on her way as Will joined us at the helm.

"Here they come" he tells Jack who smiles looking at the ship. When the navy boarded the Dauntless we boarded the Interceptor. Will and I went to cut the lines joining the two ships as Jack took the wheel at the helm. One of the navy tried to swing back onto the Interceptor, but fell into the bay.

"Thank you Commodore, for getting us ready to make way. We had a hard time doing it by ourselves" Jack yelled back. Then the navy started to shoot at us and Will protected me with his body. Even though he was angry with me, he'd never let his little sister get hurt.

"Dakota why don't you go down below and pick a room" Will suggested and I nodded my head. "We will talk later about last night" he told me as I left. I saw him start sharpening his sword as Jack steered the ship as I headed below deck. I decided to take the first mate's cabin, knowing Jack would want the captain's quarters. Shadow appeared and then followed me as I went back onto the deck.

When we got back on deck I saw Will hanging over the sea and I ran to the helm. "Now why you're up there pay attention, the only rules are this. What a man can do and want a man can't do. You can accept your father was a pirate and a good man or you cannot" Jack tells him. "Me for expel I can let you drown, but I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by myself. So..." Jack trails off spinning the wheel and Will fell onto the ship.

"Can you sail under the command of a pirate or can you not?" Jack asks holding Will's sword out to him.

"Tortuga?" Will asks after taking his sword back.

"Tortuga" Jack says helping Will up turning back to the wheel. "What about you lass can you sail under the command of a pirate?" Jack asks me as Will went back to sharpening his sword. I nodded my head and went to sit by Will and told him what had happened last night.

"I tried my best Will, I'm sorry I disappointed you" I finished avoiding his gaze.

"I'm not disappointed, just glad you weren't taken as well" Will told me as he gave me a hug. I smiled and asked if we could practice some sword fighting. He stood up drawing his sword as I drew mine as we took our starter positions. As Shadow jumped onto the railing at the helm beside Jack to watch us.
