Then one day, the solivagant and the selcouth was met by another. A woman from the solivagant' past. A woman that caused so much hatred to stir within the man that he knew what would happen.
"Layth! You need to leave!" The woman taunted him and he knew his control was slipping.
"No! Einar you can fight this! You can live without exploding! You of all people deserve joy and creation, not destruction and fear!" But his words fell too late. Immense power had built and the solivagant showed the lad a side he had never known. Cold and heartless he killed the woman, the woman who had caused much pain.
But he did not stop with that woman. With laughter that would forever haunt the lad, he began to look for more souls to send to hell.
"Einar!" The selcouth came closer to the time bomb, one deciding to kill his light. He outstretched his hand towards the lad, his eyes no longer his own. The lad began to silently cry, not for the fear of his life, but for the lapse of his love. "Einar, you're stronger than this. I know you are." The man outstretched his hand, intent on using the immense power to gut the boy before him.
The same boy who placed his own hand upon the one wielding his demise. He intertwined his fingers with a man seeming gone. He called that man's name, never once giving up on the faith he had in the man.
And that blind faith did pay off. As he was accepting of his death, fingers squeezed back, strengthening their hold. Eyes flew open to find his lover's eyes staring back. The solivagant drew his selcouth closer, holding the fragile boy. Of course, he was no boy. He was a man like him, a bit innocent but strong.
"Layth, oh Layth." His other hand lightly touched the lads cheek.
"Einar," so much relief in that one word. So much love, hope, and joy in that word. And it made the man smile, a smile filled with so much warmth that it almost made the lad's heart stop. and lad in return pressed his equally as warm smile upon his love's.
And that was the moment that the solivagant realized he was no longer alone, but rather healed by his darling selcouth.
