NINE
Amy
'He has no idea what he's just done,'i silently think as i trudge down the empty hallway. Although I'm grateful that Logan stood up for me, i can't help but get frightened of the consequences. It's pretty weird how the whole afternoon turned out. One moment I'm having an almost normal conversation with two guys and the next, it has to be ruined by stupid Jonah.
"Hey, Amy! "someone calls behind me. I turn to look back and I'm surprised when the tall looming figure of Logan rushes to catch up with me.
"Why'd you rush off like that? "he asks me
"I just needed some air, "i simply reply. His eyes probe mine and I know he can tell that I'm lying. "I'll text you when we can meet up for the joint project, "i say and turn to walk away but Logan pulls me back and pins me against the lockers. He places his hands on both sides of my head, caging me in, and if this was a totally different situation, Logan would be kissing me to the brink of insanity but of course, it isn't.
"What did he do to you? "he asks. I look away from him and say a muffled, "Nothing. "
"That's bullshit Amy, "he growls back. I push him away from me and snap, "What's your problem? I said Nothing. And besides, i don't know you and you don't know me. "
"I'm just trying to help. "
"Well stop trying to. I've got to go. "i step around him and turn to go but he calls me back.
"Hey Amy. You don't have my number, "he holds out his phone, "Give me yours. "
"Oh, i almost forgot, "i say as i dial my number into his phone. I hand it back and say, "Thank you ."
"For what ?"he asks as he programmes my number into his phone.
"For handling Jonah. "
"No prob. Just make sure you don't get back with him. "
"And then what? You'll date me instead? "i ask mockingly.
Logan smirks and winks at me before saying, "Yes, gorgeous. I would. "
Wait, what? He doesn't even wait for my reply and saunters off back to the cafeteria.
Did he just call me gorgeous? Well maybe he meant it as a form of slang or expression or....
I sigh heavily and suppress any thoughts i have of Logan. It's almost 3.00 pm, meaning school is almost over. I've got a lot of tasks to accomplish :pick up Jasper, drive to work, pick up groceries and of course, finish the tons of homework i have. Not to mention, i have to sit and endure my mom's lecture on why wine should never miss in the refrigerator.
Guess i have no room for me and Logan's fantasy anymore.

"Do you know what he said to me,Aimee ?"Jasper asks once we're in the car.
He got into a fight with some kid in second grade. I arrived in his school, expecting to see his usual jovial self playing with his friends but No, I found him seated outside the principal's, his face and clothes soiled with sand.
