One weird and quiet night, Khaya Wright was woken up by her loud fire alarm. She ran down the stairs into her dining room and saw that her candle chandelair had caused the fire. The air started getting all smokey so it became hard for her to breathe. She ran out the house to her next door neighbor's, Jada house. Khaya was continously banging on the door until Emonie, Jada's sister, opened it. "OMG, KHAYA! What are you doing?" Emonie asked. "My house is on fire and if you dont let me use your phone to call the fire department, it'll be burned to dust and ashes!" She screamed, loudly. After waiting for about 20 minutes, a firetrunk rode up the block and the first fire man got out, then the second, then the third, and lastly the female one. The first one's name was Benjamin, the second was Amir, the third was Sulamin, and the female was Erica. Suddenly, Khaya rememebered that her black poodle was still in the house. Khaya knew she would regret doing this, but she ran into her house and jumped over the burning piece of wood to get to the stairs. It was dark upstairs, the only thing you could see was the red light from the fire alarm. She heard Snickers, her dog, bark and she realized it was in the bathroom. She picked her up and noticed the dogs yellow ribbon with little monkeys on it. Soon, the house started to get blazing hot and she realized that the fire had traveled upstairs. She ran to her room with Snickers and opened the window. "Somebody better save me!" She screamed. "JUMP! I'll catch you!" Benjamin screamed to her. Khaya was depressed, thinking he wouldn't catch her, but she threw the dog out the window first. Erica caught it. "See, they caught the dog, now jump!" Sulamin and Amir screamed. She jumped, but no one caught her and she died. Emonie and Jada mourned over her death and the funeral was held two weeks later.
