get out of your comfort zone. leave the places you feel safe and go running, go growing. leave that place where you feel people understand you, and meet someone who doesn't. meet someone who thinks you're the most intriguing and fascinating thing, and cannot grasp all of the many things you are. open up to them, explain how and why you are the way you are. while they might not understand it, it will give you more of an understanding about yourself. go on spontaneous adventures. leave the city one night and don't come back until later. drive and watch. watch the buildings and cars zoom by and think of all those people in them- all with stories and their own beating hearts. stand still in the middle of a crowd, watch the people rush by you as you stay completely still. take yourself out to eat, and try new foods. make conversation with the man waiting in line next to you. roll the windows down and let the wind play with your hair. ask people random and odd questions, but genuinely care. while it seems that all you're thinking of is other people, know that this is the process to finding yourself. you will figure out how you think, what you admire about people. you will see their reactions, and hear their stories. you will find that some things inspire you, and others scare you. try something new, stop living that schedule that you call a life, and shake things up. heck, flip your world upside down and see how the view is. love as well. love as if it's all you have.. forget temporary situations and items. fall in love, and learn to be loved. fall in love with the leaves, the water, the smell of book pages. find small things in everyday life that make your heart overflow with love and happiness. learn to love and live freely. once you've mastered that, then you've created your own happiness- you've found a bit of yourself that no one can take away.
with love, t.
