Their scream's were suddenly cut off, and they unexpectedly collapsed onto the younger boy's motionless chest.

They shakily wrapped their arms around the youngest chest; clutching onto him like a lifeline, as if it was the only thing holding them together.

Everything was silent besides their heartbreaking wail's that echoed in the wretched guild hall; sounding eerily to any passing individual.

Their teary and horrified face's were pressed against either side of the once warm but forevermore icy cold, neck.

They didn't know how long they laid there; clenching onto their precious fire breathing comrade.

The only thing that's running through their minds; like a horrifying and endless loop, was the horrific event: their best friend's and their little brother's, death.

And it was all their fault.

*Somewhere Unknown*

When he finally came to, after what had felt like an endless amount of time in a dark, empty, and cold space; he'd found himself laying on his back.

Slowly, siting up, he looked around his surroundings and found himself in a huge field of different flowers.

He looked around in bewilderment and frankly weirded out.

Far off in the distance, he could see the sunset against the horizon; giving his figure a shadowily appearance.

One thought ran through his mind, "Wha... Where am I?" He "thought"; he unconsciously spoke out loud.

When he'd realized that, he didn't expect a voice to answer him back and not with what he'd expected to receive either; he jumped, obviously, startled.

'You must, live... Once, again.' A deep, masculine voice said across the peaceful and beautiful landscape.

And after a few seconds of being utterly frozen, Natsu finally found his composure and voiced his thought's.

"Wha... What the hell do you mean 'once again'!? And aren't I, you know, dead!? And who the hell are you!? And where the hell am I?!" He rambled on, bewildered and paranoid.

'No need to be afraid-"

"I'm not afraid!" He shouted. But the voice kept talking as if he wasn't just interrupted.

'-little one, I am... Ankhseram... The God of Life and Death.'

"WHAAAAAT!?!? No, no, no, way!!!" He'd screamed, majorly freaked out.

'It seems... Like your time isn't, now... You must live, once again... But only this, once!... And heres a little warning beforehand:..... A dark future awaits you, little one... And in due time, shall we meet again... And for a final time.' The God finished saying; his voice fading off into the end.

"Wait!!! What did you mea-" Before he could continue on, however, he was suddenly blinded by a bright light; which had unexpectedly envolved him in a whole.

The next thing he knew was waking up with a loud gasp and was breathing harshly, shallowly, and painfully; but nonetheless, he was alive.

His chest heaved, agonizingly, and tiredly looked around his surrounding and suddenly found himself back in the wrecked guild. Laying in his back, again, too.

Feeling movement below and seeing movement above him, Natsu slowly turned his head upwards and saw Gray and Erza; who were both looking down at him with disbelief, hopeful, and concerned eyes.

They were still crying, their clutches on his chest, tighten, unconsciously.

A painfully, bright light had brought them back from their suffering's.

When they rose their head's, what they had saw before their eyes was surreal and unexplainable.

There stood Natsu...

Breathing, injury gone, and...

Alive?

"Gu-Guy's?" The boy whimpered and stuttered.

Remembering his injuries, he slowly looked down at himself and saw that his wound's were magically gone. It seemed that Ankhseram had closed it and stopped the overflowing blood.

And without a scar behind, too.

As if nothing had happened to him.

But that didn't change the fact that he (and the other's) were okay; not with the great blood loss and the trauma.

"N-Natsu?" They whispered in unison. Their voices cracking from the crying and the screaming.

"H-hey, g-guys," He managed to say, his breathing uneven and shallowed.

"Na-Natsu? Are you really... A-Alive?" Erza whispered, looking down at him in intense disbelief and great hope.

"Y-yeah... I'm b-back-" Natsu was suddenly cut off and was immediately hugged, tightly, to their racing chests.

"NATSU!!!" They screamed, bursting into loud wails. Not caring about their pride.

Their best friend and younger brother was back; alive! They didn't know how it was possible, but they were just so overjoyed to just have him back, again.

"Gu-guys!... Ca-cant... br-breath!" He choked; gasping for much needed air, sharply and desperately.

They immediately let go, their loud cries lowering into soft cries. They looked down at him with intense concern. And after a few minutes, he'd managed to regulate his breathing.

After catching his breath, he suddenly pulled his two startled friends into a hug. Almost as if immediately, they started hugging him back; only this time much more softly and gentler, but still closely. Their faces buried, again, in Natsu's now warm neck.

Said person, then started reassuring them with comforting words. "Shhhs... It's okay... I'm not going, anywhere... Everything's okay... I won't leave you... I'm not going to die... You both should know that by know... I'm not going to leave you and the others behind... It's just like what I'd said, before... We don't die for our friends, we live for them.... So... I'll live." He rasped; his breathing, shakily and shallow. He's struggling to even breath in correctly.

Talking hurt.

His chest felt tight and it labored him, greatly, but as long as it comforts his terrified friend's, then he'll gladly deal with it... For now, at least.

He was still rubbing their backs; trying to calm down their trembling bodies.

Throughout the speech, he dismissed the warning from earlier, altogether.

That's for the future him to deal with, but for now; the present him was just happy to be back alive.

And he couldn't be more thankful.
