So, last night, I saw Temple Of the Dog.
It was probably one of the best experiences ever.
As we all know, Chris Cornell loves to play smaller places, but for this tour, he put mostly the bigger arenas. A bunch of people wondered why, but I knew that it was for Andy. He always wanted to play big places like that - in interviews he said how he'd go in your with anyone just to play an arena.
The concert was amazing. They started off with coming onto the stage with the Man Of Golden Words instrumental, then played Say Hello 2 Heaven. They played some more TOTD, and then started Stardog Champion. After that, it was Stargazer. They did everything - half of the set was MLB, and they even did Missing, which was a previously unreleased Temple song, and it was only the second time it was ever played. They also did David Bowie, Led Zepplin, Free, Mad Season, Pink Floyd, The Cure, and Black Sabbath. I didn't stop crying the entire time.
Every time they did something Mother Love Bone, I started sobbing.
After Say Hello 2 Heaven, Chris said, "and I just wanna hank Andy, for making all this possible. You know, if he was still here, he would've played this place more times than he could ever count." Which of course made me sob.

When they did Mother Love Bone songs, I was able to see Andy playing there. When you see videos of him playing at the little bars in Seattle and then you see his songs being played at a place like that, you can see how right he was for it.

I just wanna say thank you, Andrew Wood, for being such an amazing person. You play a huge role in my life - in my music taste, and just in what I do every day. You're a huge inspiration to me. You've done so much for everyone, and without you, none of this would've happened. And of course, Chris is right, if you were still here with us, everyone would've known your name. You are the Man Of Golden Words.
