Salem's P.o.v
Finally! Just fifteen more minutes until the store opens! I squealed internally as I looked through the shop windows and at the game that neatly lined the shelves. The Corrupt sat in the front. It's deep red case that had pictures of the main characters and the horrors that reside inside that game. The Corrupt was a new VR game that requires a new type of headset made just for this game. I had bought the VR piece a few weeks ago, it was a helmet that you put on your head and a screen comes down to show you the game and block out any outside noise. It also came with a set of clear hand held controllers.
The Corrupt was by far the most wanted game of the year, long lines of people were waiting silently behind me... well except for Arron. Arron was my best friend, today he wore a black coat, dark blue jeans and a pair of deep blue converse his mid length brown hair was cut into a fringe sweeping over his right eye. Arron had always been great with archery whether it was with a bow or a cross bow it didn't matter. He is usualy pretty quiet and chill but not today, his deep green eyes with flecks of gold in them were filled with joy for today he got to play the Corrupt and he wouldn't shut up about it.
"Arron can you just chill for a moment or two? The store is about to open." I Sighed running a hand through my black hair. Thankfully he nodded and stood silently behind me.
Come on! Hurry up I don't have all day! I thought watching the store clerk intently.
"Finally!" I shouted excited when he started walking towards the door. He stuck a key in the lock and turned. Last but not least he flipped the sign from the sorry we're closed side to the come in we're open! Side "Come on Arron!" I chirped grabbing the fabric of Arron's coat dragging him inside. Once in the store Arron and me ran to the shelf where The Corrupt lay grabbing one each.
After paying for the two games and Arron's head set we both agreed that once we get home we would call each other so we can join at the same time.
Running up the stone pathway the went through a small pond in my yard I sprinted up to the large house in the distance. Black stone coated the bottom half were as grey stone lined the top half. Dark oak wood made-up the roof and entrance, a set of quarts stairs lead up to the door. And a marble deck with glass railings wrapped around the side. My running came to an end when I passed the graves of my parents. I quietly walked up to the two head stones. Placing a star-gazer lily on each and said a silent prayer. My parents had left me this house when they died. It still fills me with sadness when I see the graves though they had died in a car crash three years ago I sadly was the only one to survive.

When I got inside I immediately called Arron.
"Hey dude! You ready to play?" His cheerful voice rang through my cell phone.
"Yeah just going to take a quick shower first though. And I'd advise the same for you." I mocked giggling at the silence he was giving me.
"Do you not appreciate my natural smell?" He gasped in a humerous tone.
"Haha I appreciate your smell as much as I appreciate a skunks smell!" I joked laughing at the end.
"Fine, I guess I'll shower. So talk to you after?" He quickly questioned before abruptly hanging up not giving me a chance to answer. Sure it's not like I have much of a choice now. I smiled at the thought. Okay time to shower!

Unwrapping the soft white towel from around my body I quickly put on a new set of undergarments. Along with a pair of light almost pastel pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a pair of black converse. After brushing the mess of black I call hair I called up Arron.
"Hey!" He said energetically
"Hey, so you ready to play yet?" I questioned sitting in my black and red computer chair.
"Yeah I've been ready for a long time! I was just waiting on you." Arron answers egerly.
"You could have just called me you know." I Sighed grabbing the helmet and setting it on my head.
"Yeah... I guess I could have. Anyway are you ready to play I've already got everything set up." He spoke excitement clear in his voice.
"Yep I just need to put the game in" I yawned taking the game out of its case.
"Me too, okay so we I'll put them in in three, two, one, now!" He instructed. Once the game was pulled into the Pc the screen on my headset came down. The chunk of glass in front of me lit up and said.
hello, you are being sent to an abandoned planet named Austial. You are being sent to Austial to find out if there are any life forms on that planet unknown to man. You will also be required to look for any surviving members of crew 180-F the only crew sent to build a new colony for the human race but unfortunately we haven't heard from them in months. Once on that planet all connection to us will be lost. You will have to find the building team 180-F was building to boost your signal. In order to reach us. You are being sent with a team called 167-A. Good luck, Salem.
"Hey Arron, what team are you getting sent with? I think they are all the same but I'm a curious person" I questioned plugging some ear phones into my phone.
"I think it was 167-A I'm pretty sure it's a solo game so that's why. And didn't you find it a bit weird that they knew our names?"
