Salem's P.o.v

"Well isn't that just- wait so if this affects us in real life does that mean you will have a possibility sprained, and or broken wrist when this is finished?"

"Yeah from what I understand that is exactly what would happen." He groaned feeling the tender swollen skin around his wrist. "You sure you don't know how to fix this?"

"Nope I'm just not good at being a doctor and besides if I was I still wouldn't have any of the materials to fix it." I replied looking at our scenery. The grass was a charcoal colour complimenting the silver trunks of the huge trees that ended with fine teal leaves. A long river wound through the opening revealing the crystal clear waters that were swirling within though strangely it had a gold tint to it. The odd looking flowers spotted the grass and shore.

"You know, considering the fact that we are on a strange new planet everything seems so... so pretty and quiet." Arron's gaze was fixed on the bright blue moon that hung in the sky.

"Yeah your right, but we should probably find shelter before we freeze to death." I replied reluctant to say the last bit. He just stared at me for a moment or two and nodded getting up from his place on the ground.

"So where to now?" He mumbled yawning.

"Well um we can go towards the creek or the forest. I know for a fact that I don't want to stay in this clearing. So what will it be?" I whispered rubbing my arms in a tempts to warm them up. Of course it didn't work.

"Well maybe we should head across the river and into the tree line. Then we can hopefully find something that will work for a shelter." He suggested shrugging.

"Well come on then"

Arron's P.o.v

Being knee deep in freezing cold water was not how I planed to spend my day. As a matter of fact none of this was supposed to be part of any of my days but the gods really hate us don't they!?

Oh that's were your wrong dear boy. This happens every 180 years it has nothing to do with any gods.

Wait what was that? Glancing at Salem she didn't look like she heard anything out of the ordinary. Is this all in my head? Am I going crazy!?

"What the hell is wrong with me." I grumbled under my breath.

"What was that Arron? I'm didn't hear you sorry." Salem said in a quiet tone rubbing the back of her neck.

"Oh nothing I'm just... talking to my self." I quickly stated.

"Oh, okay."

Salem's P.o.v

"Hey what's that up ahead?" I heard Arron yell from behind me.

"Would you be quiet? I'm fairly certain we aren't the only ones out here." I whisper shouted at my best friend.

"Yeah I see what you mean. But in all seriousness look." He mumbled pointing at a small dome like building in the clearing in front of us.

"Come on we should take a closer look. Be on the look out I don't want to run into any of the corrupt." I replied walking towards the dome like structure.

Getting a closer look at it it seemed to be abandoned. Some of the thick Windows that made up the building were cracked, shattered, or had deep red vines with huge black thorns covering them and a faint smell of blood was lingering in the air.

"Are we going to risk it?" The glass had a thin layer of dust that made the once clear solid take on a cloudy look.

I was trying to look through the glass but was failing.

"Why not? Let's risk it for the biscuit!" Arron almost shouted from beside me.

"You seem to have forgotten that this "extremely realistic" VR game is connected to our physical being. As in we can die." He just stared at me like I grew a second head.

"I was just trying to lighten this dull mood." He groaned trying to rub the dust off the glass. I wonder what could be in there.

"Before we go in, what do you think could be in there?" I questioned making my way over to the cloudy white doors.

"Im not sure but there is only one way to find out." He responded pulling the door open.

"Hey um... Salem, we may have a problem?" Arron warned looking down at me. God darn tall people! Move!

"What would that be?" I huffed mad that he wouldn't let me see.

"Well um... let's see... why don't you just look." He tried to explain the situation and might I add failed terribly.

Finally! I thought when he moved over slightly.

Well I didn't expect to find this...

About two meters away lay the body of a maybe 18 - 19 year old boy covered in blood. The floor was no different a pool of the red liquid had formed in the center of the room littered with smashed clay pots and glass.

"Is he... dead?" I asked concern dripping from my voice.

"Im not sure. Do you want me to check?" Arron replied slowly walking towards the body leaned up against a pillar not far from me.

"Yeah I would appreciate it if you could." I whispered slowly creeping over to the boy.

"He is very much alive, I think he is just knocked out." He spoke gesturing toward the unconscious body. "So... who is going to try and wake him?"
