Soon we arrived at the carnival. The whole place was lighted up in neon lights and it was so beautiful. Not much people were there. "Okay. You guys wait near the entrance while we go get the tickets" Tobi instructed us as he and Justin walked towards the ticket counter. We all went inside after they joined us.
"Let's go in the train" Clary pointed to the train tracks, pulling Jace with her. "First lets go to the games" Jake pointed to the stalls. Everyone wanted to go in different rides, pulling the others in different directions. Finally we agreed that we'll go together in all rides starting from the pirate ship. "Quick, the line is not long hurry up" Jace said as he rushed to the line. We followed him and waited for our turn. "Let's sit in the end" Josh said. "Not happening" Hermoine stated and shook the head. The boys wanted to sit in the end and girls wanted to sit in the middle. So when it was our turn, we separated. We went to sit in the end, even though I was a little scared about it going high and the girls sat in the middle, opposite to us.
The ride started and we screamed when it got faster. My stomach doing flips when we slid down. "I'm never getting on that again" Hazel moaned rubbing her head when we walked out. "Dude, you guys were sitting in the middle and you are complaining" Max smirked at her and she playfully pushed him.
Next everyone started walking towards the free fall. While the others went to stand in the line, I hesitantly stood outside. I'm really scared of heights and my hands started sweating just seeing the ride creep up slowly and drop down in great speed. No way I'm getting on that. "What are you waiting for? Come on" Hermoine called out. "I'm not coming" I said and shook my head. "It will be fun" Tris said motioning me to come over. "You guys go ahead, I'll stay here" I said trying to convince them to go on. Justin stopped walking and looked at me. I noticed Tobi also standing outside the line, talking to Tris and Jake. "Hey, are you ok? What's wrong?" Justin asked as he took my hand in his. "Yeah. I'm alright. Just not a fan of heights" I admitted feeling slightly embarrassed having fear of heights. "It's ok. You don't have to come if you don't want to" he squeezed my hand "Guys I'm going stay here with Zayn" he said to the others. "Oh come on. Not you too" Hermoine exclaimed. "Justin you go on the ride. I'm staying here anyway" Tobi said pushing Justin towards the line. He looked back at me as like asking whether I'll be fine. I nodded at him telling him to go.
They got on the ride and started shouting as the ride slowly rose up. Tobi chuckled at their childish behavior, beside me. When the ride reached the top most point, it stopped for a few seconds probably a minute. "Wow..we can see our town from here dude" somebody shouted from top, I think it was Josh. Everyone literally screamed when the ride came down in a jet speed.
"It was awesome" Tris said as they came out, going straight to Tobi. "Definitely, it was soo cool" Hermoine along with Hazel agreed with he while Clary didn't look very pleased.
Max and Jace came out looking like they were going to puke and sat down in a nearby bench. Jake, Justin and Ed were talking about what they saw from above and Justin saw me standing alone and made his way towards me. He was smiling when he made eye contact with me. "Enjoyed your ride?" I asked him. "Yeah. I was seeing you from top and you were looking so tiny" he teased showing a small gap between his thumb and forefinger to prove his point. I turned to Tris who was telling about the next ride, rolling my eyes at him.
After a couple of less scary rides, we decided to head to the food stalls. "What do you want to have?" Justin asked me as they were going to get the food while we find some empty seats. "Anything, uhm..a sandwich will do" I said shrugging, not feel like eating anything specific. "Ok then. Sandwich coming right up" he said in an accent like a waiter and went it get it. I just shook my head, silently laughing at him.
"What are you laughing at?" Tris asked me with an amused look, I guess she saw what happened. "Nothing" I sighed happily and took a seat next to her.
Soon, the guys got our food. Justin placed a tray full of two club sandwiches, a big cup of pepsi and french fries in front of me. I rose an eyebrow at the amount of food. "Oh, that's for both of us" he stated grabbing a club sandwich and taking a bite. I nodded and did the same.
After we ate, we went to play some games since apparently Clary wanted Jace to win her something.
"What do you want?" Justin whispered in my ear standing behind me, placing one hand on my waist and pointing to the stall of stuffed toys, with the other. We were currently standing in a games stall, cheering Jake and Josh in some shooting game. I turned my head around to look at him. He rose his eyebrow and I shook my head indicating I don't need anything. "You look cute in that by the way" he said gesturing to the Mickey head band he brought me, claiming that I will look good in that when he got it and insisted that I wear it and I ofcourse obliged, giving into his puppy eyes. I blushed mumbling a thank you.

"You know I'm having a really good time tonight" he stated smiling widely. "Sure, definitely" I agreed, tonight has been so much fun. "I'm glad I came along" I said more to myself. "Yeah, me too" he mumbled. I was going to ask what he meant but was interrupted by Tobi. "Come on guys, one last ride before we head back" he said and led us to the Ferris wheel.
Justin walked with me, holding my hand. The Ferris wheel was huge, decorated with small lights. I stood in awe looking at it, debating whether to get in or not. Justin chuckled next to me and squeezed my hand. "Come on, it will be fun. I'll be right next to you" he said in a pleading tone. I reluctantly agreed and got in the line. I noticed that the cabins were small with only two seats. "We're both riding together" Justin shouted, pulling me to the nearest cabin.
It started moving slowly as the seats got filled. I shut my eyes tightly, trying to erase the uneasy feeling building up in my stomach. I guess Justin noticed my quietness because he took my hand in his and whispered soothing things to me. Soon we reached the top, "Look, I can see our car from here" he exclaimed pointing to the small row of cars in the parking lot. He started pointing in different directions, claiming he knows what they were. I giggled each time he excitedly exclaimed. Soon I started laughing, forgetting my fear. The ride took its third round when I decided I'll ask him about that which kept nagging at the back of my head the entire time.
"Hey, what did you mean when you said that you were also glad that I came along?" I asked finally after taking deep breathes. "Uhm..I'm just happy that I got to spend some time with you. I really like-" he was cut off half way when Jace called us as soon as the ride stopped. Justin looked little frustrated not being able to finish whatever he was saying, for the second time. I squeezed his hand this time, telling him that it was ok.
We got in the car and again I ended up in his lap. This time comfortably sitting with no awkward thoughts. He kept his hand around me tightly as we started heading home. I leaned back into him, closing my heavy eyes.
"Take a nap. I'll wake you up when we get home" Justin whispered in my ear. I happily nodded, making as much as use of the times like this, cuddled up against him.
Also, I have noticed one thing. Many people have stopped reading/voting on this one-shot series. Is it not interesting anymore? Let me know guys please. This is my first book here and I'm kinda insecure about it.
