I looked at the school. The last time i was here alison was with me. I didn't wanna cry anymore. So i blinked away the tears and was about to walk in when i heard my name being called by a voice that i missed so much. Spencer. I turned around and felt the tears coming already, but i blinked them away. Mariah! you've changed so much last time i saw you you had blonde hair. Spencer said as she hugged me. I know i kinda miss it I winked at her. I'm really glad you're back She said almost crying. Me too. Do you talk to the girls? I asked. uh, occasionally She said. The bell's gonna ring in eight minutes do you wanna go in? Spencer asked. Yeah. I walked in with my head held high; Like ali would have. Everyone was staring at me. I bet they expected me to be broken and crying. Maybe on the inside but i wasn't gonna show it. Not today. Mona looked at me as if she was jealous. I looked  at  her, rolled my eyes and smiled. An evil smile. I'm a nice person but if you messed with my girls i didn't like you. I didn't see any of the other girls so i just went to my first class. Reading. I sat next to spencer and saw all the other girls. Emily came over. You're back! She said surprised. Yeah I said as if it was nothing. She took a seat next to me and started conversation. i saw hanna coming out of the corner of my eye. I'm glad you're back She said smiling. Thanks i said. A little mad at her for being besties with mona. The new teacher walked in and introduced himself. Good morning, I'm mr. fitz. Aria looked up her eyes wide. Holy crap He said to himself. The whole class looked at aria. Her phone rang. Sorry she said As she looked at her phone. I had one word for her face. Mortified.

Mariah can i talk to you? aria asked. Sure i said. I just wanna apologize for- I know i interrupted. I was kinda hoping we could start over She said. Of course we can i said not wanting to be mad at her anymore. Thank you she said as she came in for a hug. I hugged her back and was just happy to not be mad at her. Heyy! I heard mona from behind me. "if you ignore it, it will go away" I remembered what ali has said. So i did. She pulled my shoulder back. Don't touch me! I said to her. She looked at me surprised. Wow, and here i thought ali was gone she said trying to get me mad. It worked. I slapped her as hard as i could. She knew it was a sensitive subject. Don't forget ali made you loser mona once and i can do it too I told her. She looked at me furious. I gave her ali's wink and kiss and walked away. I got a text. Take notes bitch, I run this school -A. I looked at my phone confused. I ignored it and figured it was just a joke.

I was driving home when i saw cop cars and an ambulance going towards ali's house. I stopped in the middle of the street since there was already like ten cars there. I saw all the other girls. I walked up to them.  What happened? I asked a little scared. Mariah, they found ali's body emily told me. it felt like the world was closing in the tears were falling out of my eyes and i had no control over them. I started to run towards ali's house, but the girls held me back i cried onto spencer. Jason was on the other side of the street he was looking at me. I looked at spencer. She nodded and loosened her grip on me. I ran towards him and hugged him. I just stood there crying. He was rubbing my back. I know he said. I know.
