Today is Friday and tonight Mom and I are going into the city to celebrate my 14th birthday. Even though it was yesterday. As soon as we sat down in this very nice restaurant my Mom asked me what do I think of the restaurant and I told her it was very lovely. The waiter just left with our order and I think this is the perfect time to ask her if she is hiding anything. So here I go.

Me: "Mom how come every time I ask you about my Father you clam up and get this weird look on your face?"

Mom: "Adelina, your Father caused me a lot of pain and loneliness. It just hurts me to talk about him"

Me: "Well Mom it feels like you are keeping a from me. Can you at least tell me his first and last name?

Mom: "I would it's just that I think you'll use this information to try to find him."

Me: "Mom I wouldn't try to find him because you are the only parent I need. I think everyone should already or eventually know both of their parents name."

Mom: "I'm sorry Adelina, I'm just not going to tell you his name."

Me: "Okay Mom."

After that dinner was very quiet, so was the drive home. Once we got home I just went to my room and went to sleep.
