Chapter One
"Hailey!" Melisa's voice shouted from behind. "What?" I asked. "Are you coming?" she asked. "Coming where?" I asked, confused. "Duh, the prom. Its next Saturday and every girl is talking about it!" she shouted. "I don't know." was my answer.
I am never really been a fond of proms. Especially makeup and dresses and shoes and ugh. Who knows what? But that's my problem because, Melisa is an addict with those girly things. But me, no way! I am like, the future owner of 20 companies and 50 stores with 5 branches each. Help me!
"I will not stop if you don't come. Plus, if no one asked us out, me and you will go as singles!" she said. "Okay, that is your condition." I finally agreed, she will do what she said if I don't agree. She's the type of person who always does what she says. But of course, not the type when she jokes to kill someone.
School ended. I drove home. I opened my laptop and logged in to facebook. I instantly found a chatroom with all of my friends there. I chatted with them for a while then logged off. I went to youtube and watched music videos.
I made a triple layered sandwich for dinner then felt my eyes grow tired. I fell asleep on the living room couch. Well, lets call it a day. Tomorrow is Saturday and I have the rights to sleep until afternoon.
I woke up. First, I wondered why am I on the couch. Then I remembered that I fell asleep. Then I tried to speak but my voice was hoarse. Today is Saturday, and I am planning to stay in the house. Plus, Melisa excused herself yesterday that she can't hang out with me today because her parents told her to spend some time with them.
I searched for a good movie. I found it! I watched Up. It is one of my favorites. I like Russel the most because he is so cute! And Mr.Fredrickson, not much.
After the movie was done, I opened my cellphone. I texted Melisa to see how she's doing. She replied a few seconds later. "Seen a boy. So handsome. I think I like him," Ah. My bestfriend's found another sidekick.
We texted a few more and we said goodbye. I went to the ice cream shop near my house. I ordered chocolate with almonds. And then bought a chocolate. Yum!
