She was on the cold, hard, concrete floor, sprawled out like a corpse. She couldn't feel either of her hands. As she stirred, she felt a sharp, agonizing pain shoot through her body and she screamed. She waited for the man to come bursting in, but he didn't. She was alone.

Not wanting to move any longer, she just laid there on the ground, feeling a mix of heinous vulnerability and excruciating pain. In the single flicker of light that surrounded the warehouse, she could see her torso and legs covered in ginormous bruises and a nauseating amount of blood.

But she was alive. And she had to leave, now.

The next few minutes were among the most painful she had experienced in her life. She dragged herself across the floor, each simple movement a source of misery. But it was going to be worth it. She looked up at the door that swung wide open at her simple touch and her heart fluttered. She was free.

And then the gravelly, terribly familiar voice struck more fear in her heart than she would ever come to know.

"Just where do you think you're going?"
