"Momma what are you doing?" I asked my mom as she dragged me down the halls of our large mansion. Outside it was completely silent. No, not just silent I couldn't hear anything... Silent as in there was nothing to hear. She shushed me and led me outside where our bunker was. My dad was a crazy fanatic for the zombie apocalypse and he made a bunker with food supplies to last us years upon years.
She opened the door and placed me in the doorway. "Oh...Crescent.My sweet little moon. I will tell you this and I will tell you this once and no more. Beware of the things in this world. They will try to hurt you and break you down. Do not trust anyone. Not even your own family. Do not fall in love... It will lead to your doom. Goodbye...my sweet pretty moon." My mother said pushing me inside the bunker and slamming the door and locking me inside.
I didn't understand what had happened for a second and when I finally did I spent days screaming and pounding on the door begging for my mother to let me out. I didn't know what I did wrong... What did I do wrong? A few days later I knew she wasn't coming back. I snooped around the bunker and found out a lot more had been added on. All my favorite toys and stuffed animals and books were inside one room and in another there was schooling books for every grade up till 12th.
I sighed and spent a year playing side-and-heek. It was like hide and seek but different. I made imaginary friends and grew up quickly.

Present Day

"Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You. Happy Birthday Dear Crescent... Know that everyone loves you" I sang softly staring at the birthday cake that I had made for myself. 12 years had passed since I have gotten locked in the bunker. I had gotten used to talking to myself and my stuffed animals. I was in the I.Q category of a college student and I did all the textbook assignments out of boredom for nothing else.
I sighed and blew out the candles and got up and carried the cake into the tiny cute kitchen and dumping it into the trash. But not after cutting a little piece off... Hehehehe. My inner thoughts squealed happily. I cut off a piece happily and put it in the fridge. Today I had turned 17 if you didn't know. I walked to the bathroom and changed out of my pajamas and put on a black tank top, white shorts, and galaxy patterned vans. I stared at myself in the mirror.
I had long wavy purple colored hair and pale skin. Hazel-gold eyes matched up with everything. I was also petite and tiny. I sighed. "Ugh!Why Can't Today Be Any Different?!" I screamed. Just then there was pounding on the bunker door.
From the outside.
I froze and didn't know what to do. "Anyone in there?" Someone yelled through the thick iron door. I shivered nervously and walked cautiously out of the bathroom and looked outside the bunker window. I had to stand on my tiptoes to peek through and it was hard. A bow with coal black hair was standing in front of it facing away from me. He was talking to another boy with brown hair that was gelled back neatly. What do I do? I thought nervously.
I did the only thing I could think of. I tapped on the window. They both spun around so quickly and from the look of shock on their faces I guess they hadn't been expecting me. The boy with coal black hair had a right red colored eye and a left silver colored eye. He was leanly muscled and seemed somewhat graceful. He had pale skin.
The brown haired one... Now... He was a different story. He was tall. I mean, they were both tall...but this guy was a giant. He had tan skin and dark cocoa colored eyes. They both walked up to the door and I held up a finger for them to wait and rushed off and got a stool to stand on. I jumped up on it and saw the black hair boy standing in front of the door.
I was excited. This might be my chance to finally be free!!! He looked at me studying me and I studied him. "So... Any particular reason you're in there?" He asked his voice sounding muffled but cocky and flirtatious. "Um... Not that I know of." I said through the glass of the window. "Do you want to Leave?" He asked me holding up a key. I stiffened and panic closed in around my chest. I didn't think it was going to happen this fast! I shook my head quickly and scrambled away from the Window.
"Hey! Girl come back!" He shouted. "My name is not girl! It's Crescent!" I shouted back irritatedly. "Well that's fine and dandy. How long have you been stuck in there?" He asked. "12 years" I replied evenly. He was silent for a moment and I thought he had left. "Did someone put you in there and if so... Who?!" He said loudly the door muffling his voice.
"Um... Yes and it was my mother" I said through the door tentatively standing on the stool again. He looked at me and smiled. "I'm Sebastian. You just have to trust me on this... Me and Erik are opening the door okay?" He said loudly I could hear something being pressed in the lock and I panicked. I ran and did a last minute cleanup of the place. I then ran into the bathroom with the clear plastic roof that was see-through and looked at the sun starting to set.
Click. The door opened with a resounding bang and I winced. "Crescent where are you...?" I heard Sebastian's voice ask. "In here!" I answered quietly. I heard footsteps and a knock on the door. "You okay stranger?" He said jokingly through the door. I suddenly realized how true this was. This... Sebastian and Erik could be anything and anyone with any plan to hurt me. I didn't respond though swirling through my head. "I'll take that as a no." Sebastian said through the door leaning against it heavily. "Y-You could be anything, anyone, and with any plan and you expect me to treat you like we're best friends when I've only known you for a few minutes at the most?" I asked through the door. "Hey. This meeting was purely by chance. We were driving by, saw the destroyed mansion, and then saw the bunker so we decided to stop." He says calmly. Destroyed...Mansion? I though confused.
"Look... Have you ever been outside and explored the world before?" He asked me through the door. "No." I responded. He laughed. "Well... Think about it. See all those teeny tiny planets up in the sky. There are whole other worlds out there, whole new people and experiences. Come on... Isn't all you've ever wanted was to go and explore?" He asked curiously. "Yes..." I whispered. He crashed through the door and I scrambled away from him. He smiled at me charmingly holding an outstretched hand. I reached up and grabbed it...

And this is how I came to trust a boy I barely knew...
