All we are is an assumption of vague memories we have put together using preexisting memories to filter the information. Every experience is different to everyone. This is true in part to the fact that we perceive things based on the experiences we already have meaning an event like a murder would be havoc to a child, but slightly normal for a seasoned war hero. All we are is what we have chosen to be in that instance based off the perception of self we have assigned, well, our self. If you only started to exist ten minutes ago, how would you know? Well of course you remember existing longer, right? What would be the difference if you had been dropped at that point with preprogrammed memories? Maybe scars you remember getting, the pain, the emotion. Do you even remember it correctly? Are you sure? You may have existed for those events, but are being alive and existing truly the same thing? How do you know? There's no real words to describe your existence in comparison to another's, it's like trying to describe to a blind person what orange looks like. Are you sure it's the same as what another person sees? If all we are, are our memories destined to inevitably fade away, interchangeable as a copy and paste in Microsoft Word, then does it even matter? All you are is here and gone in an instant with no clear reason or rhyme, only effecting small things and every ripple settles with time. Time destroys all things, even the memories of the mind.
