"Sociophobia: The fear of judgment and false accusations from society..."

It just wasn't fair.... Shunned..locked away...sent to there.... Accused. Everyone was the same....everyone blamed her, the girl with the dark mousy hair, the girl with the two different color eyes.....the little witch who was said to have killed her mother.

She just stared at the opposite wall from her little corner in her little dark room...no, sorry...her little dark prison. The horrid memories never left her alone. The screams. The cries. The fire. It was all the fire.. The fire that destroyed her life....the fire that killed her mother.

Iggy Grey glanced down at the chains bolting her to the side of the bed and instantly thought of her fucking father... the man who did this to her.. The man who killed little Fredrick...the man who sent her to the Insane Asylum.

*flashback*

"Mommy, Mommy! Look! A spooky old house!!!" 5 year old Iggy ran towards the gates of the abandoned mansion trying to climb them while Jennifer Grey walked up behind her...laughing. " Sweetie... if we go check it out together...will you promise not to climb anymore gates that are going to break your neck?" "Yes mommy!" Iggy chirped.

Iggy grabbed her mother's warm hand as the both of them entered the abandoned mansion in Downey Woods. Iggy looked around at the magnificent portraits surrounding her.

"Mommy!! Look! That girl in the picture looks just like you!!!"

Jennifer laughed at her daughter's exclamation and hugged her

" Maybe it is... who knows....Mommy here might be a queen with her darling princess!"

Iggy giggled as her mother started tickling her all over

" Mommy stop it! Let's go upstairs!!!!"

As the two females went up the stairs, they were oblivious to the faint smells smoke coming from farther above. Iggy ran a little ahead of her mother reaching the top of the stairs before she did.

"Ha, Ha! And as the race draws to a close, Iggy Grey wins! This leaving her mother to eat her dust!" Iggy pretended as a cheering crowd, jumping up and down with joy and laughter as Jennifer faked being upset.

"Well little one, are you going to stop cheering for yourself, or are we going to get going?"

Together, the mother and daughter walked hand in hand to each room, discussing and joking around about the ancient antiques. Still, none of them seemed to noticed the faint crackling sounds from the room above the two.

Finally, they reached the last room in the house, the attic. This time, Jennifer took lead but stopped dead in her tracks before she touched the door handle.

"Iggy...run."

"W-What? Mommy, this isn't funny at all, stop scaring me, the kids at school already do that to me."

"NO IGGY....I'M SERIOUS, RUN."

Jennifer grabbed the girl just as the door exploded outwards bringing the flames inside the hall. Jennifer sprinted down the stairs with Iggy in her arms and a raging fire close at her heels, debris falling from above her.

Just before they reach the door, a large ceiling beam fell and struck one of her shoulders, causing Iggy to fall from her arms and break Jennifer's shoulder.

"IGGY!" Jennifer croaked reaching out towards the burnt girl "RUN! RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK...I'M RIGHT BEHIND YOU."

Trusting her mother's words, Iggy ran out the door and towards the gates, collapsing before opening them.

"Momma! We're almost there...hold on!!! We'll get to safety! Mommy-"

As Iggy turned around expecting to see her mother behind her, she choked in surprise when she didn't. Instead, she saw her still trapped inside the burning mansion.. Looking back at her daughter with the mixture of love, regret, and sorrow in her eyes.

" Go Iggy, become a woman, have a family, and always be happy and kind, I'll always be with you. RUN."

And just like that, the house collapsed in a burning mass, trapping her mother in there forever.

"NO!!!" MAMMA!!!"

Iggy ran hopelessly at the burning house trying to find her mother, only to remember that there might be a chance she was still alive, needing the help of more professionals to find her.

The little girl ran out the gates, screaming for help of anyone, or anything. The fire now reached the forest, burning the trees all around her, burning Iggy herself. As Iggy charged through the forest, it seemed to her that someone was watching her, cold soulless eyes burning into the back of her head. But she didn't care. After that, she never did. She just had to save her mother, the mother that people thought she killed.....
