Friday

"Mel I don't wanna go out. I have nothing I celebrate" I complained from my place on her floor.

"Girl you not celebrating me and Liyah are. You will be drinking away your pain"

"I can do that right here"

"No you need to be in a social situation"

Liyah came out the bathroom halfway dressed. "Yeah and guys need to see you"

"No thank you. I'll just sit here"

"And do what? You've watched basically every movie out up to date, you won't turn your phone on because Noel won't stop calling you, and you don't even like to be alone"

All fair points unfortunately. "It's only been 2 months, guys." I reminded them.

"So?" They replied simultaneously.

"So I'm still not even close to being over him"

"That's fine we don't expect you to be. Ya were together for years he was your first everything and all that but we also want you to know that it's not the end of the world."

"So why does it feel like it is?" My eyes were getting ready to cry again.

Liyah pulled me into a hug. "Remember when me and Randy broke up my senior year?"

I nodded.

"I thought it was the end of the world too as you do but was it? No. Now I'm a fine ass independent female who has her own job, apartment and car at 24."

"Did you know you can actually die from a heartbreak? The tendons in your heart could snap and-" Mel stopped noticing the glare on me and Liyah faces. "Sorry"

"Anyways the point is you'll move past this and everything will be great. This is just a temporary feeling."

"I want it to go away like a month ago"

"Time and distractions help. I was away at college and throwing myself in the books, and a few bottles of alcohol, so I didn't have time to be heartbroken."

"But I didn't go away to college so I can run into him at any given day."

"And you'll keep walking. You have another month until you agreed to talk to him. "

"I still don't think I'll be ready"

"We'll find out then"

I nodded before sitting up and wiping my face. "Okay, okay I'll let you guys take me out tonight"

"Yay! Okay so throw this on" Mel threw a maxi skirt on the bed along with a cropped top.

I shook my head. "I'll pick what I want to wear" I went and got a pair of jeans that hug my legs nicely and paired it with a burgundy cropped top.

"But-"

I put a finger up silencing her. "Im wearing heels that's enough"

"Fine let's just get dressed" she pouted.

Unfortunately the club we've gone to had to be packed with people. At least I managed to get a stool at the bar after a half hour. I grabbed my cup off of the bar before swiveling around to see the dance floor. Mel and Liyah were somewhere in the middle as usual but I wasn't in the mood to dance.

Some guy walking past bumped into my leg and was about to keep walking until I grabbed his arm. "Um excuse me you just bumped me"

He looked at my hand that was holding him, my boobs then finally my face before smirking. I let him go.
