"Do you... Want to stay at my place?" Jason asked me timidly. Was he seriously asking me that? Did he think just because I worked in the strip club I was that easy?

"No sir I do not. Just because I work where I work doesn't mean you can get anything for free just because you gave me a ride somewhere. I don't do things like that. I appreciate the ride. Good night and goodbye." With that I turned on my heel and started towards the offices in my apartment complex. He was following me.

"I was trying to be nice. In case you didn't notice from the waters and the fact that it totally freaked me out that you danced on me, I am not that guy okay? I was trying to help you out." I guess he was waiting for an answer or a return question but I just kept walking. Deep down I knew he wasn't that guy. He wasn't going to take advantage of me or hurt me in anyway. But that's what I thought about Marcus too. The thought of Marcus was like a stab to my chest. I felt my throat start to swell up like it does whenever I think about him.

"Fine. You can be stubborn and sleep on the floor in this shitty unsafe office if you want. I won't be nice to you ever again." he yelled at me. That was the last straw. I whipped around and screamed at him.

"What the hell dude. First you follow me and chase me down a dark alley in a very shady part of town and then wonder why that scares me. Next day you show up in my workplace again, I give you a lap dance and you say nothing, then a few hours later you pretend nothing happened and that you don't know who I am and you give me a ride to my house. Now you want me to come stay with you in your house which is god-knows where? I know absolutely nothing about you! I don't even know your name!" That last part was a lie. I knew his name. Jason Barnes, the most beautiful enticing man my poor eyes had ever laid upon. His face contorted into a look of pain like I slapped him with my harsh words.

"Jason. My name is Jason Barnes. I am sorry. You don't... I just... I'm sorry." He scratched the back of his head and went back to his car. I felt like this conversation was unfinished so I followed him.

"My name is Claire Antigua. I'm sorry I yelled at you. I am... I'm not a very nice person and I always end up taking out my inner unease on other people and I apologize. Thank you very much for your offer." A shadow of a smile played on his lips as he stuck out his hand. I took it in mine, his giant, calloused, tan hand.

"Claire Antigua it is my great pleasure to meet you. Are you absolutely sure you don't want somewhere to stay? I have a couch and my bedroom door locks." It was very very late. I was very very angry with Casey. I was very very tired therefore I was very unable to handle making big choices.

"Jason Barnes, I am desperate enough to accept your offer." The biggest, most ravishing smile I have seen in my existence spread across his face. It was the type of smile that lit up a room, the type that made you feel like you were alive, that you were more than a phantom floating along hoping for something big. The sort of smile that wraps around you and there is nothing you can do, nothing but smile back.

An hour later I am in the fanciest apartment I had ever seen. It was all super sleek and modern like something out of an ikea magazine or a movie. Everything was black and white or stainless steel. I don't think anywhere I have ever lived has had stainless steel. How did this guy afford to live here?

"So um... The uh bedroom is over here. I am going to change the sheets over really fast and then it's all you." He told me as he point to a door off to the left of the main space.

"You don't need to go to all that trouble for me. Honestly, I have been in much more dingy places. I just need a blanket." I didn't want to be super needy and picky like most of the women I knew.

"It'll only take a second I promise." And he was gone into the room before I had the chance to say anything. I sat on the large leather black couch and looked around me. I didn't belong in such and exquisite place. I'm white trash and this guy was obviously someone very important to afford a place like this. I was ogling the room for a few minutes before Jason came out of the bedroom.

"It's all yours. Make yourself at home, honestly any food or drinks you want go ahead and take it." I gave him a curt nod and went into the room and locked the door. Following the door locking I searched for somewhere I could plug my phone in the wall and check my messages from Casey.
