I woke up in a room no idea where I was, what I was doing there, and most importantly… I HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM! No one was in the room at the time, all there was, was the thing I was sitting on, another, slightly smaller, thing that appeared that people would sit on, and a big black box shaped object. It had a slightly smaller rectangular piece in the middle and I could see what the opposite side of the room looked like. I tried to stare at it to get a good image of myself, but my face was too far away to see from where I was. I tried to get up, and then I got a sharp pain in my one leg. I quickly fell to the ground, trying to relieve the pain. After sitting there for five or so minutes, I got up, trying not to stand on it. I quickly hobbled over in front of a giant thing on the wall. It also could let me see me. I stood in front of it. I was wearing a bright blue shirt and dark denim jeans. I had grey glasses, messy brown hair, and a hazel eye color.
After I was done looking at me, I hopped back over to where I appeared at first. I stretched out trying to get comfortable. I took a glance at the room to see most of its features. The walls seemed to be close to the same color as my eyes, it seemed a bit creepy. There was also sheet that looked as if it were covering something. I didn’t want to hobble over to see, so I just moved on to the rest of the room. I looked in one direction not much, but a little table and a rectangular thing with a lot of buttons. I picked it up and read to see what each button did. There was a big red on with some weird symbol that also read “POWER”. I looked down the rest of the object with more buttons with triangles lines and one that said quit, last, cable, TV. I pressed TV to see what it did, no reaction. I tried hitting cable, the triangles, and the one with two lines, nothing happened. I finally hit all the buttons at once and then the box flickered and there were black and white dots throughout the little rectangle inside. I couldn’t hear anything at first, and then all of the sudden there was a higher pitched sound that seemed to be tearing at my ears. I tried hitting the buttons once more, but nothing worked. I finally tried hitting the buttons, all at once, while trying to cover my ears. It finally stopped; my head felt like it was going to explode.
I laid back and closed my eyes, hopefully to calm myself down. Once I started to get comfortable, someone entered the room. It seemed to be a female in a black shirt and also wearing jeans. She came in holding something. She was shocked that I was awake. So shocked in fact, that she had dropped what she was holding and shattered, along with liquid flying everywhere. She hurried out of the room, I intended with something to clean that up. When she came back, there was more, but not all female, and she was also holding what seemed to look like a brush, dustpan, and a roll of white paper-like material. They all stood in awe and I had no idea what to do. I was surrounded by all of these strangers. I scanned them, but still couldn’t find out who they were. I sat there with a confused look on my face.
The people kept staring at me with weird, worried looks on their faces. I started to ask who they were and where I was, but I decided to wait. A few awkward moments went by and I finally said something.
“Who are you people, why do you keep staring at me, and where am I?” I asked.
They all turned and faced each other with surprised looks on their faces. I sat there still wondering those questions. I waited until I had gotten an answer. Then the woman finally decided to say something.
“I am your mother and this is the rest of the family.” She said. “This is your room in our house and we are staring at you because you’ve been in a coma for almost a year now and all of the sudden you’re awake.”
They then all of the others said who they were. I sat there intently listening to who each of them were. After they were finished, I asked them who I was. They told me every bit of information they knew about me. I felt lost, even though they were talking about me, but it all seemed as if they were lying to get a perfect son/brother. Even though I vaguely know anything about them I could sense that they were all lying. I wanted to tell them, but I didn’t know what to say. I decided to listen in to what they were saying. It kept itching at me, to tell them that they were all wrong, but I knew that only one wasn’t lying. She had told me that she was my sister. She was the only one trying to tell the truth, but the others stopped her by saying something else. I knew that she was trying to say something that made them all feel guilty. I recall hearing that her name was Lily, but not sure.
I interrupted everyone talking, by yelling them to stop. They quickly stopped, and then they began to listen. I asked Lily to come up and say what she was trying to say. They tried to tell me that it wasn’t important and almost started to speak again. I quickly stated that I wanted to hear what she wanted to say. The others stood there staring at me, looking guilty and began to sweat a little. She stepped up to the end of the bed and took a deep breath.
