Chapter 9

I woke up..

Torn and ripped apart but still alive...

I could here strong breathing nearby

Then a very silent howl

I wanted to see what it was but I couldn't move I was to broken. I heard running coming towards me. I tried everything but I couldn't run.

"Oh my gosh your awake!" She said excitedly. I started at her. Her long hair was a gorgeous shade of brown leading down into blueish green tips. I tried to speak and ask so many questions but I couldn't.

She come and picked me up she looked about my age if not a bit older. She laid me on this blanket she had found. Even if it wasn't much I felt much better.

She sat down near me. "So your Sydney right" she said. "Yes.. yes I am how do You know that" I say quietly trying hard to speak. "Oh.. you don't know do you they never told you" she said with a sad expression.

"Told me what... everyone keeps saying that so just tell me" I say. She sighed but gave in.

"We.. we are .. we are sisters" she said almost like regretting it. "What! How do you know! I'm an only child! My parents wouldn't lie to me!" I blab on not believing what I'd just heard

She stays silent letting me get ahold of what's going on and I settle down. "So um what else do you know" I say wanting to know more. "I'll tell you more later I don't need to stress you out more then you already are.. especially with your... nevermind" she says then walks off.

"Hey come back" I yell but she was gone. Ugh. I sit up instantly feeling better as if she's healed me atleast a little. I sat up against the brick wall and closed my eyes and took a moment to just settle down and breathe.

As soon as I open my eyes again it was morning. I stretched and saw her.. she was sleeping on a blanket aswel. I didn't bother to get up as I didn't even know if I could walk at this point. I looked at my hand and notest a giant hole in it.

He did shoot me. How did I not die. Did.. she drag me out of the way in time. What happened

Suddenly I saw her stretch. She was getting up. She flipped over and looked at me.

"Your up early" she said with a laugh. "It's not that early" I say then giggle with her. "Your looking better" she said. I look down at myself and I must admit I'd made a great recovery from yesturday.

I weird silence occurred and I broke it with "who's Clayton". She starred at me and sighed. "Clayton.. Claytons from the dindicate..." she says. "The dindicate are after our family, because.. no that's for later aswel" she says

"Ugh can't you just tell me everything and be over and done with it" I say annoyed and disappointed. "No you'd have a freak attack" she says. "But I already kinda know" I reply. "You don't know a thing Sydney.. you don't even know my name and you don't know about your brother and you don't know where the dindicate are but me and Brodie have found a way to track them" she says then sits out of breath.

"I'm sorry" I say. "No time for that, can you stand up" she asks. I stand up as told and say "yeah I think". "Ok good cause we need to go somewhere.. somewhere safe" she says then drags me through a few bushes.

It's all trees and bushes it would be a beautiful scenery if I wasn't being quickly tugged through it. "Can we slow down" I plea. "No Brodie's at the house by himself we can't part for long they'll find him" she says still speedily walking. "Who's Brodie" I say. "Seriously.. put two and two together dumbo" she says to me like I'm two. "Yep I can tell your my sister" I say and roll my eyes. "Good to know " she says and tugs me harder.

We climb through some bushes and in the distance I can see a small hut made of rags and stained blankets. She runs to the hut and I follow. She pulls open one of the many rags and walks in. "Brod's where are you" she says starting to panic. She stands in the middle of the small dirt room and yells "brodie please don't hide". When she heard no response she turned back around to face me

"They got him" she said.
